Hi Russell, This video brought back memories of my childhood. When I was in Russia, my parents used to take me to international food exhibitions because they represented Sri Lankan Ceylon tea stalls, and when I was going around the exhibition without any fear, the Russians gave me a lot of sweet boxes to take home, and they treated me well even though I was a tan-coloured kid who spoke Russian at the time. Not only in this video,I can see some places in your videos where I visited Moscow City when I was small. I really missed those days. I still very much love Russia and its people, because Russians are very humble and very nice people. For the last couple of years, I've been preparing to move to Canada with my family. However, since you and another five KZfaqrs are showing Russia from true angles, I really want to visit Russia again because I love Russia, where I was born (I was born in 1989 in the USSR). Still, I'm getting hurt if someone blames or discriminates against Russia in front of me, because here we can see a lot of Western propaganda. However, you are doing a great job, Russell. Please keep exploring more about Russia and its rich culture. Thank you, and God bless.

I am quite old, but I have no complaints about my health, perhaps because I have been drinking large quantities of Ceylon tea all my life. It was available in the USSR and now in Russia. And now I am writing this comment over a cup of Ceylon tea.

@@strasbourgerelsass1467 True, of course you can buy these goods in Russia, but no longer in the quantities as before the so-called “sanctions”. As you can clearly see at this Expo, other providers quickly take over the market (including their former factories in Russia and their employees), whether from Russia, China, Turkey or other countries. This not only applies to food, but also to cars, Trucks, mechanical engineering, furniture etc... These “sanctions” are therefore a classic “own goal” of all western companies, such as İKEA, which have this big Russian internal market voluntarily gave up and nowjust “forego” significant sales and profits must. Furthermore, it also helps Russian companies that now are virtually “forced” to purchase goods and services themselves to develop and sell them, instead of being able to simply import them (expensively) from the West, as was previously the case.

@@scotland638yeah, right, because sugar supplements are sooo much better for your health. I guess it's not taught outside Tsar's Russia that even the most harmless supplements will trigger insulin response either way, which is even worse, given the sugar is not actually coming into blood. That means you will more likely get diabetes drinking "sugar free" soda than a usual one, which means the obvious choice would be just to have less sugar if you want something sweet.

Interesting to see all the fuss about Pringles, but in the UK most of the smaller supermarket don't even stock them. They are not terribly popular. Other brands make nicer crisps and chips.

The public does not come in. The tickets would be very expensive (like $100 or more per day) and your company would pay to send you. Macadamia and some over asian nuts, - yes i taste it, and macadamia in particular is pretty popular in Russia. Halva - since big part of Russia is muslim states - its even more popular here, even outside muslim regions. Turkish products is a popular thing, especially in recent years. Especially in the "turkish'/muslim food" area, which is, again, popular thing among non-muslims too. China was a huge part in many areas in Russia, and only grow since sanctions. Thailand and Vietnam have some solid niches. Korean and Japan stuff is very popular, but mostly a rare thing. In recent years Russian food grow more in area of traditional and original way, like pinecone jam. P.S. Germany being Germany xD

I can also see that there's a lot of talk about Kit-Kats and their so called "departure" from Russia. But if we actually look at what Kit-Kat really is and the awful taste of it, should we even care about Kit-Kats. It is a very bland taste, nothing special when it comes to texture and the horrific health and nutrition value of Kit-Kat warrants this entire brand to be on permanent ban list for all countries of the world. I'd put Kit-Kats in the same toxic category with Hersheys. A category you don't want to see, smell or touch, let alone bring closer to your mouth. Russians should be grateful that this toxic waste sold under such names as Kit-Kat and Hersheys isn't going to contaminate their shelves going forward, hopefully, with god's blessing.
