@@johannessugito1686 I've had that as well! You're right though, these do look to be basil seeds and not chia. I was purely basing it off what was said in the clip. There are a few different canned drinks that utilize seeds for added textures. I try everyone that I can find. Locally, we have Mamma chia, which has multiple products utilizing rehydrated seeds. Their drink is the thickest of all the seeded drinks I've tried.

I recently discovered your channel and I love it! This video was so nice and showed the kindness of people. Your last video was hard to watch just due to the facts that I was not aware of about the amount of rabbits eaten across the globe. I live in America and have a small rescue bunny as a pet. Learning that one Province eats 300 million rabbits a year and then looking at the process of how rabbits are farmed commercially was very disturbing. But, it also made me realize that many if not many many more chickens pigs and cows are probably commercially farmed for the American population. I am half-chinese and love my meat dishes, but your video did make me think about commercial farming and I am going to make an effort to eat more vegetables and source meat from small Humane Farms if I continue to eat meat. Thank you so much for your amazing Channel, I feel more connected to my heritage thanks to you and am starting to learn Mandarin ❤! Meg in FL 🇺🇸

Your post inspired me to look it up. The US slaughters 8-9 billion chickens each year (China about 5 bn), and they're usually killed at about 42 days old. Less cows and pigs though. Kind of shocked me, but also the US has 300m people, most of which still eat meat so I guess the numbers add up. I don't actually like eating rabbit but in a way it seems like a more responsible way to eat meat if meat eating is important to you- they produce far less impact on the environment compared to pigs or cattle.

In asia every part of the animal can be eaten as it is still part of the cuisine. That disappeared long time ago in western cuisine, which focused on the meatiest slices of pig, chicken and beef. In europe other animals are still eaten, like rabbit, frog, horse, deer, lamb even snails. But is also slowly transitioning towards beef/chicken/pork situation.

That white cake... consider trying it with a hot cup of tea. There's similar steamed cakes all over China (and Thailand, SK and Japan as well) with that dense texture or some that are quite grainy in texture, they melt and fall apart to release all that fragrance in your mouth with a sip of tea.

"30 RMB for a bowl of noodles of quite expensive." Meanwhile in America, that won't even fetch you a basic appetizer... American science classroom: Look what happens when we mix baking soda and vinegar. Chinese science classroom: Hold my noodles while I light it on fire. Imagine being a patron just trying to enjoy your food while a vlogging foreigner flings a piece of meat at you from a neighbouring table. XD The frog legs almost look like they could be enoki mushrooms mixed in the dish. The eye chilli was karma for the food antics that inadvertently targeted the guy earlier. ;) The linggao girl be like, "Look at me, I'm your Uber Eats driver now."
