去歐洲接觸過前蘇聯國家的人你就會發現，原來東歐的人非常懷念前蘇聯時期，他們甚至常常拿那個時代出來炫耀。如今離開蘇聯的東歐實際上是比較落後的。 從影片中兩位老人可以看出，東德的阿嬤更具有氣質以及知識涵養，西德的阿嬤則是不斷的描述物質上的需求。

呃，這是因為東德已經算東歐鐵幕中相對發展的好的國家了，你去看波蘭、捷克、烏克蘭，絕大部分應該都討厭蘇聯的統治 還有其實我覺得不能單憑兩個老奶奶就決定東西德的人是怎麼樣，只能說經歷過冷戰和共產統治的東德老奶奶相對體會更多事情而已，而西德老奶奶相對帶有更多對共產德國的恐懼和強調西德比較好的個人觀點 況且我相信老師的表達能力會比一般人來的好，仔細看你會發現她也會稍微的強調東德過去的優點，可能只是緬懷過去的時光，是個人都會念舊，況且公務員通常是穩定鐵飯碗，會支持政府

That's the difference between the gov decide your future or you decide and responsible for your own future! Also depend on which country he is now living after the breakup, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Macedonia, Slovenia, Kosovo and Montenegro? If he is in Slovenia or Croatia, Life is probabaly better then before, if he is living in Bosnia or Kosovo with the war before! well, not so good! so it all depend doesn't it?
