That boat with its vibrant lights constantly changing hues and the endless distractions all around is probably the worst place you could be asked to solve a cube. I find that the worst light for cubing is low spectrum light like an old school amber flood light, it makes white and yellow look identical, especially if the cube is UV coated. The best light to me is mid-high spectrum light with a wavelength around 500nm. The wavelength of the light is a very important factor in cubing for me. Helps with speedy recognition.
