Literally drove down the day of the Corolla GR reveal, last minute (friends told me it was there and asked me to come help with the car show side) to see the car in person. Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on one to mess around with on track.

I love race cars and dirt bikes and drifting. I also recently learned that chemical additives in car tires are poisoning salmon streams while we are working hard to bring them and our watersheds back from the brink of extinction. What is the drifting community take on this issue? Is anyone advocating for tire companies to eliminate salmon killing compounds from our tires? I know Michelin is aware and working on it - but progress often requires a push from folks en mass to get things done. What say you all?

I think you're making assumptions. It was more they were disappointed with their performance, had nothing to do with Ryan. They put a lot of effort into the supra and they obviously want to see it perform. The corolla, ironically, is a more proven setup for them and it doing well isn't surprising.

The papadakis crew has many other cars to worry about during the comp. I think the editing doesn’t express that too well, so I can see why you feel that way but I don’t think he favors one driver over another. He expressed his discontent when Castros car couldn’t continue and was elated when Ryan won the event, I don’t think Fredrick got any special treatment from the video.

@@jackemarleeyoung Exactly, when Freddy's manifold cracked last year they had to split the team of mechanics which looked like the gave priority to Tuerck because they knew they were able to get the car ready in time and missed by a minute or so on the Supra. Papadakis and the drifting scene looks like it doesnt favor drivers in their own team but they all want to stay extremely competetive of course!

Stephan is in all the drivers’ corners. But how the team operates on the weekend, each car/driver has their own crew focusing on them. Steph pulls double duty as team manager and also spotter for the 151 (dating back to 2011) so he wears the Aasbo uniform. Brian holds that role for the 411.

Ryan is really been made to be the number 2 driver seems a little sus to come off a p1 then have them say the moter needs to be pulled and you might miss practice some bs right there. That's not a good team to work in there not given equal opportunity
