Look, the fact of the matter is, all the folks wondering why Jason always puts Carly first? These last few episodes simply prove why. Because Carly literally never lets him down, she always has faith in him and will never throw him under the bus like other people are now trying to. Carly comes first because Carly proves to be more steady and loyal than anyone else.

I hate that they are writing these characters like they haven't known each other for decades, but I do love the dynamic it could bring for Steve and Kelly playing at odds against each other for awhile. They both play with such raw emotion in their scenes together...this could be really good if done right.

This is why Jason will always put Carly first. When everyone else doubts him Caly remains loyal and never doubts him.

One of my favorite things about this story is Carly’s maturation being on full display. She’s trying to honor the relationships she built with Sam and Drew when in the past she wouldn’t give a damn. Yes, Jason will always come first with her and she doesn’t deny that but Carly 5 years ago wouldn’t even let Drew or Sam get away with thinking Jason could be guilty and still care about them. She would have responded a lot differently.

This kinda reminds me of when Jason first return back and she thought Drew was Jason. She thought everyone was out to get “Drew”-the man she claims to love then. Now, she’s claiming Dante as the love of her life. It’s no wonder Sam’s storyline has become boring. The writers are slowly destroying who Sam really is. The same way the writers are destroying Sonny.

I hope the writers don’t try to put them together romantically again. I think their love as friends is stronger than anything.

its like this comment section forgot that Dante is the man Sam loves, she is NOT going to be rational right now. of course not only is Carly Jason's best friend, she is in the head space to be rational about who Jason would or wouldn't shoot, but Sam is losing her mind off the possibility that Dante might never wake up, so of course she's having a hard time processing, Jason being alive and the man she loved almost getting killed all in a span of like 2 days. Same with Sonny and Olivia, no rationality is coming out of this. Sam's reaction is 100% normal. Carly, Michael and probably Elizabeth are the only people who wouldn't believe that Jason shot Dante.

What Sam said- I totally get it- and the way Jason spoke to his SON- was ridiculous! That’s your boy- you act like he’s your nephew or this kid bothering you. Sam and even Drew has a solid point- Where have you been Jason? You’re a father- and this is how you act towards Danny? And Carly- I Get Your loyalty to Jason. But Jason wasn’t there for you when Bobbie died. Drew was. Jason wasn’t with you when you were facing prison- Drew was. Jason wasn’t with you when Sonny dumped you for Nina- Drew was. I think the writers made a colossal mistake (sorry Liz Korte- you wrote Carly and Drew- all that progress was solid- after Drew came back from prison he is not the same person -without explanation- it feels malicious. ) Patrick knows how much I value character- and I know it’s easy to return to what is familiar. But Carly grew up. Now that Jason is back, her actions are tipsy turvy- she’s regressing- Loyalty to Jason??? Why? Carly, Jason chose Britt, chose Liz, chose Sam and Robin over YOU. Drew gave you love, respect, and LOTALTY - that’s a healthy relationship. After Drew came came back everything has been plot driven to accommodate agenda- It makes no damn bit of sense! Jason putting Carly first? No- Jason put Sonny first- Jason should’ve been done with Sonny after he shot Carly in the head- and this last go around with Sonny dumping Carly- IT DOESNT WORK. What Sam said is 10000 percent correct- Jason left her to raise his children - Dante stepped up! That loyalty Sam gave Dante is not only growth, but beautiful!!! Jason needs to grow. He’s in his FIFTIES Steve is six months older than me- okay? You’re not the hero anymore if you can’t even show emotion to your sons- Drew is jealous! Carly should’ve called Drew instead of this played out drama. Jarly had their shot and that ended. Jason is FANTASY and the world has passed him by. Sonny thinking Jason may have shot his son is BS - that’s not why Sonny said those things- he knows once Jason is back- It’s Sonny who? Once Finn realizes Jason is back it’s Finn who? And Drew laid out the laundry list as to why he bailed- Carly’s reaction makes ZERO sense- So either this is left over horrendous writing or the direction. I feel Danny seeing Jason is the rewrite- I didn’t like how he spoke to his own son. “This is the safety never have a gun without the safety on.” So who’s getting shot now? Eventually, Jason has to take responsibility for his choices- Being loyal to him, yeah I get Carly would do that- but put Jason over Drew? No THAT I do not get. And even having Drew break up with her makes ZERO SENSE. But bravo Sam! You spoke the truth. Jason is a hit man- the babies are grown- and that is the reaction he has toward his son? He showed more towards Carly - and probably will show more towards Liz. So, Patrick- as a long time apprentice of your work- read up on the characters since you’ve been gone- it’s time to elevate the females- not regress them- especially Carly. Glad Chris and Dan are gone for two reasons- they pushed actor agenda storylines instead of stories true to character and their chemistry- Don’t do that anymore writers. The audience isn’t in our twenties no more.

All of them are going to look stupid when this unfolds. By the looks of it, whoever is behind this is scaring Jason enough to keep quiet because it could be someone that the city knows & it’s not like him to keep quiet to Carly & Michael because he would do anything to keep them safe & want to warn them about someone. I believe that he’s working undercover, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

I may be wrong, but I think this is still the old writers story arc. The old head writers, Chris and Dan, are still listed in the opening credits along with additional writers. I would think once the new head writers storylines air, we will see their names listed first. The fact that Sonny and Sam are being written out of character also leads me to believe this the old writers. Last week started out so great, but this week has been uneventful so far.

I'm so tired of the constant vilification of Carly and Jason's relationship in recent years. Sonny never had a problem with it because he understood it on some level, yet when he got his memories back, it suddenly became a problem due to the writers who couldn't care less about accurate characterization. Quite frankly, Jason and Carly's relationship is one of the only things the writers have consistently gotten right, yet they're always trying to put an axe through it by making it seem like a bad thing or by turning it into something it's not. These writers clearly don’t understand their relationship. Please watch the old footage of their relationship to have an understanding of their foundation. Their loyalty to each other is justified. Unlike certain women on the show who have magically gotten a pass for all their wrongdoings, Carly was the town pariah and hated for years. Her only friend was Jason. Jason had her back even when she was wrong, even when she lost her mind, even when he disagreed with her, and even when everyone warned him against being her friend. Carly allowed Jason to be himself during a time when everyone was telling him who he needed to be. She gave him the space to discover himself and wholeheartedly believed in him. Of course, she knows him, and he knows her because they’ve had each other’s back for decades. Carly and Jason are not meant to be lovers. Their bond surpasses that need. The story of friendship can be as powerful as any other type of love story, and I'll be pissed if they try changing their dynamic again. They offer each other something that very few people get in life, and that’s full acceptance. However, because they fully accept each other, being lovers would only harm that bond because they would then need different things from each other, things they might not be able to provide to each other as lovers. Writers, please don’t destroy this powerful example of friendship for the sake of rattling things up for the audience. I know you thrive on the hate/love relationship from audiences, but y’all need to have some respect for the history of the characters and respect for the people who’ve been watching and supporting for decades.

Michael wouldn't turn Jason in and Joss and Dex know the last person to see Dante bandaged and saved his life but that is no where on the news its just some cam footage and what kind people release this to a news paper cops without investigation
