Megan and L.E. You all are AMAZING! You can’t beat yourself up for what has happened. Coccidiosis can be spread from wild animals as well. Raccoons to stray animals that are just passing through. Even wild birds! So, don’t beat yourself! You love and take good care of your animals! You’re loved by many that support you both as a sanctuary, farm, and for some, a friend! I’m sorry for your losses! May both Bambi and Pickles rest in peace. 🕊️

Coccidia is hard on the goats and it hits them fast and hard. You did your best so please don’t beat yourself up.

Keeping pasture clean helps like burning infected hay and racking poop.

Heartbreaking. I really liked Bambi and Ms Pickles. I can't imagine the heartbreak you two must feel now, I'm so sorry Megan and LE. You did what you could. Definitely take the time you need to emotionally/mentally figure things out and focus on caring for those who are still here. Small blessings being that, at the very least, all this struck after all the mamas had their babies.

You and LE have done so much to improve things at the sanctuary. Feedings seem to flow better, the pigs are looking healthier and are getting around better. You can actually see under Tiny Tim and Peggy Pig instead of their tummies dragging the ground. Not saying anything bad about Lester, but he is really soft about his pigs and I think that is why he couldn't get their weights down. I am very proud of the both of you and the efforts and love you put in to the animals and the sanctuary. I think you closing the pastures off and sanitizing them against the parasites is great.(I am the same age as Lester, so I am allowed to be proud of you both lol) Sometimes life just socks and our best efforts don't seem to be enough. We just have to wipe our eyes, blow our noses, pull our britches up and boots back on, and charge forward with what we need to do. Prayers for healing

Grief and guilt often go together. I think it’s human nature to second guess ourselves. I’ve been in a similar situation, and I can say getting to a new “normal” is a process. There’s no timeline on grief, it’s not something you get over, just something to adapt to over time… you have all our support and love for the coming days…❤

Shawn from Zion Creek Farm had a goat recently pass away from this same thing! He treated the goat and she seemed to improve but only for a few hours. He spread lime all over the barn floor , did a great job 3:29 cleaning it up! He has not lost any other goats after that.

Oh no! I'm so sorry this happened to you, Megan. I was avoiding this video cause I was afraid an animal passed, but when Lester conformed that on his video earlier I thought well I should find out who so I don't go asking where so and so is. It's so sad. They seem as ok as any mom can be after giving birth. Cats can get coccidia too, especially kittens. I'm sure you already know that and are treating them as well.

My prayers are for your family.....i too gave had to deal with diseases before but with puppies an kittens...i just recently started raising goats a d am proud to announce the birth of princess nibbles and sir tarot knight's first born daughter and heir to the throne on march 2nd...princess knox! I am sad to announce that there were in fact two princesses born that day. I an going through chemotherapy treatments again for the second time in 16yrs and friday the first i cane down with a sinus cold so as much as i wanted to stay outside with my princess when i suspected her labor...i hust couldnt...but i too am beating myself up that i didnt stay outside with her...if i had perhaps i could have intervened and done what i suspect happened which is being a firsy time mother , mayne princess didnt clean up the baby we lost in time because she was overwhelmed and i wasnt there to help. 🥺 It sucks...but we do have a beautiful baby girl...and for that i am grateful. U got this yall...it can happen to the best if us!

Please do like Lester has done in the past and try to put together a video of them when they were alive and playing for the viewers. They are very touching things. That will give you some closer too ❤❤❤

My new boxer puppy was just diagnosed with this. The vet gave him antibiotics and wormed him. He had no symptoms, so thank god my vet did a fecal check when I took him for his second set of shots. I had him just a few days before it was found, so it came from the breeder.

I’m so sorry they didn’t make it. It’s hard with goats because a lot of times when they get sick you don’t know until it’s too late.
