Have you seen the new flat pliable solar panels. They come in like a roll and you just roll then out and they got sticky on the back. Almost like using a big roll of tape. I wonder how good they are
@imconsequetau527529 күн бұрын
They might come in widths that fit sheet metal roofs with a vertical seam. Perfect!

Honest question, is solar panels for a home actually worth it? Would you know of a good quality company if so, and what are some pros and cons of them? I almost pulled the trigger on it with a salesman 2 years ago. But kind of regret not doint so
@ToolswithSoAlz29 күн бұрын
It depends on what you expect to get out of them
@brandocommando445929 күн бұрын
@ToolswithSoAlz the way he tried selling it to me, was it would be just big enough to power my whole house, and to take place of an electric bill, and it would last for 25 years. I live in your beautiful state of Missouri, so you get the weather. I pondered how often they would need to be cleaned, since a film of dirt could change how much it retains power from the sun, also same as the snow in the winter. I had too many questions and felt as if a salesman was talking out their ass
@ToolswithSoAlz29 күн бұрын
The problem with that is that you only get maximum wattage out of an array only 20 days out of the year. Also, most installers are clueless, and their incompetence will likely make it so you never get the max. They also don't tell you they'll put a lein on your home or how much batteries and/or a generator are going to cost you. If you want it to offset the cost of your electric bill or to do something small, then it's worth it. For the most part, you'll just end up chasing bad results with good money.
