【Kominka Solo Life #98】 Moved to Izu to live in the countryside. I live alone in an old house. I tasted tuna and bonito from Yaizu City while living in my grandmother's house which became vacant.
Recently lost my 94 year old grandmother and this video made me reminisce about my childhood and my time with her. Beautiful video. Many thanks from Wales 🏴
It's so sad when you grow too old to be able to live on your own. Homes for senior citizens are not always nice, but even if they are, leaving one's home is incredibly sad. My one wish is to be able to live indipendently until the end.
Lovely video and a good homage to your grandparents. Nostalgia and good memories are truly a life treasure… Cheers from Portugal

Very moving. It's inevitable that we all grow old and pass on but hopefully vestiges of our lives will remain for future generations. Sōzokuzei in Japan means a lot of properties are abandoned which is sad. We use to have a death tax in Australia many many years ago but it was abolished. I hope your grandmother's house survives.
Very beautiful! Thank you so much for this touching look into your grandparents home. Lovely!

Nice to watch your vlog. I've been in Shizuoka once, visiting Shizuoka Daigaku.

Lovely video….please move into this house. You can make videos while you fix it up and you’ll have all of your grandparents lovely treasures & love to live with. Can’t think of a better connection to your family heritage than this!
