Hey brother please do a video on scammers. There's ppl doing scams in your name with your pics on KZfaq and telegram. There are other subs asking also that have been approached by the scammers. Please . Some one not having delt with scammers before will fall for it . A short video is all we are asking for. Scammers need to be stopped. I messaged you on messanger on Facebook. With pics . Oh yah the other scammer I delt with was someone acting like Dave mustain. I said send me a pic if it's you and I got a pic of Tom Hanks. Hahah .

I'm not a metal player, but man I'm amazed at your skills. I've been playing rock mostly for 25years, since in was maybe 10. Recently I decided I wanted to try the acoustic, and fingerpicking specifically. Since I rarely sleep more thsn a couple hours, I starting practicing a couple weeks ago 3 hours a night when everyone's sleeping. I got to level I thought I'd never reach after only a couple weeks. Hard work pays off.

This isn't exactly the type of music I want to learn or play, but that doesn't mean it's not impressive or that I wouldn't benefit from learning this. Recently (after starting to watch your videos) I've been feeling like I'm worse than I felt before. Mainly because you point out the mistakes that I see myself doing. So currently I'm working on playing easier lines cleaner and faster.
@raineparlby9806
@raineparlby9806 2 жыл бұрын
I'm not exactly a metal guitarist either, but I find that Bernth's advice an exercises really help your overall technique, which can then translate to any genre. I also remember feeling like I was playing worse when I first started watching the videos: I think because Bernth really puts technique under the microscope and makes you look at the way you play, it takes a while to digest and adjust. For example, for a while no way I held the pick felt right! But once I was able to adjust I could really start to see the benefits. Something like thinking about escape angles will obviously make you need to play slower at first to think about it, but once you can build back up to your normal speed it will be so much cleaner.

Bernth, you're very much an inspiration. I am waking up at 5:30 and going to bed at 22:00, and I found that especially after quitting alcohol 2 years ago, my mind sometimes goes on to have the life of its own when I want to sleep, especially when I'm on a work trip that is across multiple time zones. My company sponsors a sleep/meditation app that I don't want to mention the name of coz might be perceived as an ad but it has LeBron James and Optimus Prime telling you sleep stories. I never finish a sleep story. Also, I will be in Wienna in September, can I see you gigging somewhere?

For the past few years, when I wake early(or cant sleep) Ill go work on designs(graphic design) - either current projects or give myself a hard project to work on. Today Iv been up since 4:30 (its almost 7am) and Iv got three projects mostly finished(from start) and learnt a new technique. The "10000 hour" theory requires lots of early starts I feel.

I had a pretty good practise routine, with the exception that it was the last thing before sleeping. I'm a night person, so often it's staying awake until 04:30 :D I rarely have to be at work before noon though. Practising before sleeping has the benefit that my brain kind of makes it work while I sleep and the next day it goes better. I've been crazy busy for the last year so my practising isn't what it used to be, but I would like to get back to it, because I enjoy it so much. I don't often even have a goal in it, I just like to play. Daily practise is a very good thing if you want to improve.

Pick type makes a huge difference! Try different picks and see what works best for you, and remember that different pick materials and different stiffness/thickness profiles will be better or worse depending on the type of picking you are doing (shredding vs strumming for example).

OK OK. For now I am aiming to be rythmic guitar...so I start my practice at 2PM and finish at 4 or 6PM...My practice is basically chord progression and chords shape change. I use Key of: C, G, A, D, E and F in ( I vi iii V I) or (I vi ii V I). I practice with a metronome (use the app Metreonome Beats) with automatic increse of BPM. All that for at least 15 minutes...Of course I take breaks to relax the arms..after that I practice playing along songs with basic chords progressions...But as a warm up I do cromatic scales, pentatonic scales and the spider walk. That's my routine I'll keep it for the next 4 years..But what you suggest me. Remember, for now I'm just aiming to be rythmic guitar (like Frusciante or Malcom Young)

I woke up and practiced everyday at 4am. Now I'm homeless because my neighbors and apartment management kicked me out of the building. Thanks Bernth.

I can't imagine being able to play triplet eighths at 300 bmp. Let alone nail the whole thing too.
