Don’t let it get too confusing lots of 7 irons are bent down a few degrees

Practice delivering your irons with more compression and a descending blow. Big distances from a 7 iron can come very easily when the loft at impact is that of a “normal” 5 iron. That, or else bend all your junk 2-3 degrees strong.

Not taking anything away from Micah at all, but when you hear a certain club goes a certain distance there’s a whole lot that determines that distance and in todays age every manufacturer has strong lofts. I’m 6’3” and a smooth 7 I also about 185-190. But my 7 is 29 degrees of loft and a traditional one is more like 34. All that being said though, Micah does have a fantastic swing and a lot of power, big W👍🏼

Your swing looks so good throughout the whole round. Perfect, yet aggressive tempo with a beautiful shot shape. Just a bit better than usual, whatever you did, it was great, keep it up.

@@wes1588 Golf is a Mental sport. He may have some issues with his Mental game, i.e. trying too hard in matches with Garrett. Who knows. Either way, the kid played well here, that's all that matters.

7 under bogey free round and let’s be honest he left some out there. Had 3 birdies inside 10 ft that burnt the edge. Could have easily been 10 under. So awesome to see the positivity man. It really does make a huge difference in your game when you just get out of your own way and just go enjoy the game. Couldn’t be happier for you.

@@theoakhills yeah looked a short course but I challenge you to go play the shortest course you can find, then play it off the ladies tees and I bet you'd still shoot over par. Short courses still need close shots and putts sunk to go 7 under.

Micah, congrats on the win man! I was getting emotional and teary for you. I'm no where good as you but I remember breaking 80 for the first time ever and it made me get emotional because I play this sport for my best friend who unfortunately passed away. He was my best friend and my golfing buddy. I dedicate all my time, not for myself, but for my best friend and I want to get better for him. You are an inspiration and I hope there will be many more wins for you in the future.

This almost felt like watching the team you root for. I gave a fist pump when he won. Happy for you and glad to see you playing as great as you can this day. The crazy part is you shot that low without any crazy hole outs or even deep putts. Arguably left a shot or two out there (although you can't expect to make every short putt). Congrats dude. You seemed to play so differently here compared to some of the GG content I’ve watched. More relaxed, not forcing it, sensible plays to good positions to get a score. Incredible round and delighted for you.
