One thing I like: The plate on Allison’s head falls multiple times while they’re circling and she tries to keep it on and keep from laughing, which is why she runs off so fast clutching the plate. Also, earlier, Christopher (Hook) forgot a line, so he repeated the previous one instead.

because every line of lyric is sung exactly like the last. it just feels dry. that's not to say she doesn't sing well. shes got a nice voice. i mean it's quite pretty. but i think thats part of the problem. she could use a hint of grit. but again i'm not saying she's bad. i can't say that about anyone who can sustain a song while doing choreography like that. it's just not great in the character department. that's all... 🤷🏻‍♀️

I prefer Cathy Rigby in voice and flying! Got to see her live 5 times...and have the DVD far superior to this NBC version. I'm glad they did this version...but I would have cast it differently.

Totally agree her version is very bland and not as charismatic as say Cathy rigby or Mary Martan or sandy duncan. Not to take anything’s way from Allison Williams but it’s just not her role. Personally I love what NBC is trying to do and make musicals more accessible to the public and to people who wouldn’t normally go out to say broadway or regional theaters to see shows. Peter Pan is my favorite musical ever I saw the Cathy rigby tour when I was 6 then a year later I was Michel darling at one of the regional theaters in my area and I have been acting ever since. Peter Pan is an amazing musical but I don’t know what really went wrong here it was a mix of bad casting and personally I didn’t like the new orchestrations. It wasn’t the worst production I’ve seen it had amazing costumes and sets but it wasn’t the greatest. (I’m not trying to start an argument or anything everyone is entitled to their own opinion you could have loved it you could have thought it was horrible but I’m just here to express my opinion thanks for taking the time to read this)

I honestly didn’t see a problem. She is the first peter (played by a female) that I could actually see passing as a male. Cathy Rigby is AMAZING, and probably the best overall peter, but I could never suspend my disbelief to think she was a boy. I loved Allison’s line delivery and singing in this version.

Why did we ever have a grown woman playing Peter Pan? There are plenty of young men that can sing, dance and act. That said, I loved Peter Pan with Mary Martin the first time I saw it on TV. I was enchanted and still love it.

It’s just a generally a role played by women, mainly due to when the play first was a thing they couldn’t hire a child within the age range of Peter Pan due to his education! So, it was played by a woman since they could do higher voices and be near the height as Peter and had time to participate in the play, unlike a schooled boy.

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed, but I was watching the full movie and noticed that during the song Wendy both of the twins plus the lost boy with a bandana has scraped their knees and that their knees are red. During this scene, after a commercial break, their knees are still bloody. It’s quite visible on the twins at 0:57.
