I Wonder How Fast The Henseleit TDS Is?!

In this video we get a flight on the Henseleit TDS with an Air speed sensor. Head speed is still turned down but with every flight we go faster and faster and closer to fully opening it up and seeing what it will do! For a 10s setup I’m happy this far.

Thank you! With all speed helis your flights blade stall and giving it the right pitch at the right time. Definitely takes practice!

It takes a lot of practice and muscle memory. Of course, in video. It’s a lot harder to see then in real life but there’s still multiple spots at the top of the split S Turns that can be very difficult to see.

Good effort with the 10s however this heli can go a lot faster as you know already, lets push it to 14s and then you will see how quick this dragon will go, love the videos, and all the work you do for the Hobby, its great to see, keep it up and then smash the record. all the best.

Thank you very much, I greatly appreciate that! Yes, this helicopter could definitely go faster with more power. We are well under 10,000 W. Right around 7,000 watts. I’m building a new Heli for the record. Something with twice the power…… we are keeping this one 10s for more competition that are 10s max.

Jeff, incredible helicopter 🚁 doing about a buck 10, but I got to say this, the beautiful 😍 clouds ⛅️ are the star 💫 of this video !😂😂😂😊Holy guacamole 🥑 bat man 138 mph, and only half way through the video ! Wow 149mph amazing, and only 10s because of the name I’m guessing that it’s a German made quality piece of machinery ?

It’s definitely moving good for a 10s setup. The clouds are definitely the star of the video! There are some beautiful clouds that day. Yeah, 149mph! Not even really pushing it! That’s true airspeed not ground speed. Yes sir! German Heli. Definitely a peace of art.

This was awesome Jeff! How many degrees of pitch are you running on it at this point, and what RPM was that? Awsome flying as always!

Thank you! So I have 17° of pitch available and I’m probably only using about 13 or so of it. This flight max RPM was 2400. I have 2700-2800 RPM available.

Have you had an opportunity to fly a tron 5.8 yet? I really like the kraken 580, but the tron is lighter and slightly cheaper, especially in a crash. I like the looks of both, I'd just like to know how the tron flys

I’m actually building a try and dynamic right now and I have flown a Nitron which flew amazing! I’m also going to get the new Tron 5.8 and do a build series on that. I would say it flew every bit as good as my SAB models.
