Sam, who is 25 years old, shares his experiences taking Finasteride, a popular hair loss drug, and the persistent side effects he suffers during his use and months after discontinuation.
Post-Finasteride Syndrome is the current term for a rare syndrome characterized by devastating physical, neurological, and sexual side effects that persist and progress even after stopping finasteride. This condition occurs primarily in younger men who have taken the drug to treat hair loss, and there is currently no effective treatment available.
PFS has a disastrous impact on patients, their families, and their friends. It often leads to disability, isolation, and even suicide. Every person is valuable, and everyone deserves to make a fully informed choice about their health.
More research into Post-Finasteride Syndrome is desperately needed. Learn more about and support the newest scientific initiative here: www.pfsnetwork.org/science

Thank you for speaking out on this horrible disease. Because bascially that is what PFS is. And even more worrying, it is a disease caused by a drug that is supposed to help people instead of doing harm. I stopped my nephew from starting Saw Palmetto because of your videos. Thank you so much.

18:00 if I could feel any emotion I would have cried hearing this, I know exactly what you mean in terms on feeling like a monster. That is enough to make anyone realise how horrific this disease is, the fact he is at hospital visiting his nan holding her hand and he can’t feel anything should really make people think twice that go out their way to say this condition isn’t real. Im also from the uk it’s been about 3 years for me and everything has gotten worse. I was exactly the same as you was placed in an emergency room having extreme panic attacks constantly felt like I was going to die, then spent weeks in a psychiatric hospital they had no idea what was wrong and neither did I at the time I didn’t realise it was from finasteride. Each day is like a nightmare you keep waking up into I’ve had extreme muscle atrophy everywhere. Can’t feel any emotion just completely flat became intolerant to foods and sensitive to chemicals. The part you mentioned about the blood flow and your veins disappearing is one of the scariest things I’ve experienced having this, every vein in my body has either disappeared or changed and became very thin. The muscle twitches are horrible I get them all over my body it’s a sign of a crash in my own experience. There’s a massive issue with blow flow throughout my body. Each day is survival at this point all we can do is hope for a cure. I want to make my own video too, you have gave me courage to do that. Thanks for sharing your story Sam

This is what happens when we take finasteride. If you notice all the guys who are on finasteride they are very disconnected. They have emotional disturbances as well. These side effects do not just go away. Aunt, I'm telling you it takes so many years to recover so plan on another 20 years of feeling less and less affected. But you're going to still be affected. This drug should be illegal

@@hannesbolman4710 I can GUARANTEE you that you are disconnected from yourself and others , you lack true deep connection and your mental health cognition will continue to go downward. The studies don't lie and the percentage you mentioned is an absolute fkn joke. Hundreds of thousands of men are coming to the forefront to report their injuries and look at the majority of men who are on finasteride, unwell, gyno breasts, high estrogen, moody, not even close to who they were prior to taking the drug. Go lie to someone who wants to be fed lies because we know the truth.

ALthough I believe PFS is real, the bro on the left saying he can't work out properly anymore and his body doesn't respond just looks a bit far fetched. He's a pretty big dude and doesn't really present as somebody with a particular problem at all other than bigorexia which he's blaming on PFS. I'm sure it's not his intention, and he probably really did have a bad reaction to finasteride, but I don't think he realises what's he's presenting to people watching this. If was much more slight and feminized you might say ok this crap really got him, but he isn't like that at all. What did finasteride actually do in this case ?

So, I’m the guy on the left and one of the people that run this channel. I first want to say I really appreciate your acknowledgement of PFS. It is very real and very devastating. It’s not lost on me that I still present as being a fit and muscular guy. I still hit the gym regularly and do my best to maintain a healthy diet, which seems to at least help me maintain what I currently have after reaching a new baseline. However, it doesn’t do much in regards to me getting my original size/definition back, feeling the endorphin rush/sense of accomplishment from working out, getting a pump, etc. It’s more-so just me going through the motions of weight training now without feeling much and seeing any new results. Having said that, I’ve also been naturally bodybuilding for the last 15 years and am VERY in tune with my body, so I knew very quickly that something was wrong when I first developed PFS - my muscles became soft/less dense, my skin stretchy, I lost size and definition (I lost 20 pounds in the first 6 weeks), I couldn’t get a pump, etc. despite all my efforts. People who don’t know me still label me as fit and healthy (understandably so), but those closest to me have seen and acknowledged the changes unfortunately. These, however, are just some of the many symptoms I have. Feel free to checkout my full video where I discuss my story, and my facial changes videos - m.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/e9OYrNNlr8XXg4U.html m.kzfaq.infoUosSggIfVzw m.kzfaq.infom0LsNvkfygs Appreciate your support!
