American Duchess is totally worth every cent. I had a bunion removal surgery, which prevented me from wearing heals because of how much pain they caused. This was hard because I do musical theater where I need to wear heels for certain roles. The shoes that were made for it hurt so bad! My feet were dying! So after three pairs of failed dance shoes, my mom and I ordered the Gibsons from American Duchess, and they were so cute and super comfy! I was able to dance, run, and perform in them. I wore them during the whole show (except for three tap number) and my feet never hurt once. These shoes are there best. 10/10 recommend.

The heels of the retro John fluevog reminds me of totally spies or something, like the 90’s 00’s anime/cartoon vibe. Really cute!

Basically all my shoes are now American Dutchess. They are so comfortable and last well. Well worth saving up for! The quality is much higher than most other brands so they are worth the extra cost.

I own both Fluevog and American Duchess and definitely worth it! Sooo comfy. I wear a size 5 so I just wait for big sales or final sales cause I know they’ll still have my size. Definitely recommend zig zag shoes also

I'm Italian but the brand Neosense from Spain is the best for Victorian style inspired shoes! I used to sell them even if they are/were maybe a bit pricey 😅

memery has a lot of good historical shoes!! they have alot of casual everyday reproduction shoes, but also ones that are more fancy! highly recommend!!

American Duchess shoes are AMAZING! They are so comfortable and so beautiful, and with proper care will last for ages. I have the Tavistock Victorian Button Shoes and I love them so much.

American duchess is so worth it! The shows are very durable especially as I take mine in to get repaired twice a year (I walk a lot). The heals are extremely comfortable because they curve foreward instead of coming straight down.

As the proud owner of six pairs of American Duchess (dear god, someone stop me) they are very worth it and very comfortable. I got a job that pays pretty well over a year ago now and jump on the pre orders for the Cambridge once I had some extra money, and obviously I've made a habit of it since. Some of mine have heels (mostly low), some are flat, but all of them are so damn comfy I was able to wear them for 5+ hours on their first outing with little to no complaint from my feet. A special shout out to the Keckleys, their first trip out of the apartment was day and a half trip I took up to Seattle for a concert, and since I don't have a car it involved buses and a good bit walking. The only soreness in my feet was from the fact that other than going home to change I went straight from work to the Greyhound, and my work sneakers at the time were getting pretty worn out.

I’ve been buying Fluevogs since the 1980s and have shoes from 1989 that I still wear to this day. A little bit of care & maintenance over the years pays off. Definitely a worthy purchase. The American Duchess (Paris) boots I own seem good so far for the price but obviously I haven’t had them for decades… yet. I do think the leather on any of my Fluevogs is higher quality overall though.

FLUEVOG is worth saving your lunch money. I buy them on eBay and have purchased some from the sale rack. I wear vintage 80% of the time. At 66, I have a few pairs older than you! Love your content!!!

My friends and I swing dance. One of my friends decided to really get a nice pair of shoes from jazz n fashion a couple years ago. She wears them all the time when we go out. They have stood the test of time and the pretty much wear and tear of dance. And she love love loves how comfortable they are.

I used to work right beside a John Fluevog in the turn of the century and believe me those shoes were incredible. After trying their shoes on 2 yrs later in 2021 I bought my first pair and have not regretted it once on the contrary now I own several pairs of their shoes 😊

Can’t afford American Duchess, but I have seen them in person up close. They are the best made shoe I’ve seen outside of high end cowboy boots. When I see fast fashion brands charging much more for their cheaply made shoes, these AD shoes are an investment and a lifetime shoe

If you like American Duchess, you should definitely look at Memery. Unfortunately they also require a significant amount of dough. That's why those kind of shoes are an investment. They should last you awhile if you care for them well.

Fluevog is fantastic! I have some with a narrow pointed toe that do not look comfortable but so are. I've also got motorcycle looking boots with chains and some that are black white yellow and pink, all are comfortable to wear all day and the moment you put them on, you can know that you will not get blisters or that they wont pinch as long as they are the right size.

I know of the first two! Will admire them from afar for now.

I have a pair of Fleuvogs that are half a size too small for me (gifted to me) and I still wear them because they are gorgeous and surprisingly okay for being too small. I only wear them for like a dinner or show since they do pinch my toes. My mother has a pair of Fleuvog ankle boots that I steal every time I am visiting her. Seriously glorious shoes.

I have, what I call, pilgrim’s shoes from John Fluevog. And they are the most comfortable shoes. They are a little expensive but worth every penny. I have worn these shoes for 8 years and they are still great.

I would love a pair from American Duchess, but I hesitate to actually purchase anything because they don’t carry any wide sizes. I don’t know that I’d be able to stretch the leather on a regular 7.5 enough to fit my duck feet… Also, I hate when other brands have wide sizing, and the shoe is wider, but it’s the whole shoe and the toe box is still too narrow

I can attest fluevogs are amazing, I live near a store and got a pair on mega discount and they are my favorite pair of shoes.
