For this collaboration, I documented along with @sidewalks2269 on the public sidewalk recording the happenings at Peet's coffee and a neighboring dining establishment. There were two people who stood out the most on this day. The first individual came to confront us claiming we were recording kids, which was a lie. He kept going on & on about if it turns out that kids appear on the video then we'd be having a different conversation. He even dared us to go record the kids inside the Taekwondo/Jiu Jitsu business across the street. I became concerned about his obsessive fascination about kids. I suggested if someone doesn't want their child to be seen in public, they could place a paper bag over the child's head (giving a visual example in the video). He then drove off, but would soon return multiple times. After we wrapped up the audit & returned to my vehicle, I have placed my main camera in the back seat with my cellular device mounted near the center console . Another individual Came up on the passenger side knocking on the window with his camera phone up against the window. Sidewalks22 got out to begin documenting, as well as I did, grabbing my camera phone that was mounted & began recording myself. This individual's main fascination appeared to be that I'm transgender & Sidewalks22 is Puerto Rican. He them claimed we were harassing & threatening American citizens & that's when I established we were doing nothing illegal & capturing life as it happens. Eventually after 7-8 minutes of going back & forth, The individual spewing his phobic rhetoric, returned to his vehicle where I returned the energy I got, by knocking on his passenger window with my camera phone near his window as he soon drove off.

@FirstAmendmentRights I think in this case, Amagansett would have gotten away with it. It's all on camera that he came right into your face and was pushing into you. Many times he made threatening comments!! No way would I have put up with that shit!! One warning to keep his distance and if he approaches you again in that threatening behaviour, you will be forced to defend yourself, and show them the spray!!! I am a 67 year old person. And in all my years I NEVER asked a person sexuality. I am amazed that people would ever ask that. And with regards to filming children there are businesses that film them, people with car cameras film them. If one does not want a child to be filmed then keep them at home.

I'm 61, and the same here. I have the most wonderful neighbors all around me, and now, after 12 years in this rented house, I have to live in 11 months, because the elderly owner wants to sell it. But my neighbors want me to stay because I'm early retired and I have the time to take care of their pets while they are at work, on holidays, etc, and often I also spend time with their kids. And right now one of my neighbors, a couple of young men, they are trying to buy the house and rent it to me, and when I leave one day, they'll either sell it or continue to rent it out. It's a win win. And two houses down I have a two mom family, with the most amazing children. I'm sure it can't surprise you, that studies show, that children of same sex couples they are among the best educated, the least criminal, and overall well functioned (sorry, English is not my native language, and I apologize if I've said something that could offend anyone, as that is absolutely NOT my intent. Just like studies show that the extreme right wing "patriots" (= overall haters) are the ones with the lowest education, lowest income, most cases of domestic abuse, and their children are way more likely to end up with addiction and in prison. And the last group are the loudest to tell other people they live "the wrong way"... It's so sad when haters, the poor or less poor, like the old white white hater we saw here, did exactly what he accused the auditors of. He knew they were leaving, and he wanted them to stay, and to bait them into a confrontation, as he KNOW the cops are WAY more likely to take his words over the auditors, and the cops aren't interested in any kind of evidence (videos) that proves the old guy was the instigater, the lier, and the auditors had done nothing wrong. Luckily the auditors were way smarter than the "I'm obsessed with taking pictures of children" guy and the old hater ("patriot") and it didn't end up with violence. And IF the cops had arrived and seen the white guy chase the auditors, I'm absolutely sure the auditors had been taken to the ground and arrested, and the white hater with a smile had shaken hands with the cops.... The USA scares me. The ignorance, the hate, the violence, and the rotten police culture scares me!! Young people are luckily smarter, those who aren't raised by haters or have succeeded in getting away from it. But are they ready to fight for a more just society? Equal rights? Equal accountability? Next election will tell if a civil war is coming, and if Trump will continue to stand by Putin and allow Putin to declare war against Europe, and with no or very little help from our American allied .... What happens in the USA this Nov 2024 can change the USA and the world as we know it know. A majority of SCOTUS judges are ready to change more laws and Roe vs Wade, and the extreme right wing haters will enjoy all the destruction. The USA scares me more than ever. And Biden's health is also not capable to take 4 more years, and his VP is ... yes, where is she, and what has she done the last 3 years? No body seems to know or care.... All the while not recognizing that gender dysphoria is a medical diagnosis and transgender people have existed throughout history. Transphobia is disproportionately more harmful than being accepting of differences. Kids and adults commit suicide every day because of the incessant hate speech. You can vote for whoever you want, just be honest about what the side you're choosing is saying.

How rude, this video was very interesting and wild. From the freak who has something about children, to children acting like children except for one polite young man. The manager who’s clueless about public filming. And the kicker who I fist called rude, and very obnoxious who was shaking with fear. I served our country over 30 years in federal government all the way down to city government, and I can tell you that he wasn’t one of those people who I was proud to have served. Again, business owners, management and employees need to learn that their policies do not extend onto public property. Private property also doesn't mean privacy from public view either. There are also no laws that state you cannot film children in public and don't need parental permission.

They need to understand that once they leave their own homes No On cares what their opinion is and no one needs to care, that is why they made laws on how to act in public. Just a couple things. First...When did they have the big public service announcement informing all citizens that it was illegal to photograph or record them in public unless they give their permission because I missed that info. Second... the fascination people have with what is between the legs of a stranger never ceases to just amaze me. The "entitlement" they must have to walk up to a stranger on the street and ask a question that should only be asked because they want to be intimate is astounding. I guess that would be my question to their question and if they wanted to see. Kudos for not losing your shit whenever you run across these sick bigots. You're a better woman than I am. 💜
