@@IlyaasMohamed-eo8en Awesome...it's a sport that ANYONE can grind and have success in IF they put in the work. It comes easier to some, but just keep working, focusing on the basics. Keep watching Cayden's videos. He sets a great example. Especially the way he's constantly attacking without fear...keeps moving and keeps grinding. Don't focus on Wins so much in kids club. Cayden mentions Messenbrink. That's another guy to watch. If you can Wrestle with that mindset, it's HUGE. So many guys Wrestle tight, and hold back...they don't want to take chances or shots because that's when you get scored on...but it ultimately holds you back. When you get to HS, you'll be better for it. Good luck, keep grinding!

I guess D2 doesn't support coaches' challenges for video review? We couldn't see the clock but it sure seemed like you had control when the match ended. (Kudos to you for not complaining about being robbed. You focus on the right things and definitely are not a whiner.) And I give you a standing ovation for what you're doing for our sport with your KZfaq channels!! BTW.... I'd love to see you use some of the mat returns you teach in "Top 5 Wrestling Moves *MAT RETURNS*" because I think you sometimes concede escapes (too quickly) when your opponent gets to their feet from the down position. (But that's just an unsolicited comment so the trolls have a chance to give me a beatdown.)

I will second this opinion on Cayden conceding escapes too quickly. My guess is some of this is confidence in taking the guy down, but also maybe some conserving energy. I do think Cayden’s top wrestling has improved from last year, but I trust Cayden has it figured out on this kind of stuff.

hey Cayden big time fan here. hope to meet u and wrestle and practice one day. I love ur mindset and aggressive wrestling. I've watched you work ur ass off. I heard your the number 2 ranked wrestler and I believe that 1 guy in the black singlet was the D2 nat champ so hes probably number 1. you can beat em. ik college has a 3 point takedown and all and that red did make a bad call and there was control there. but in all your videos. aside from that tech fall with the tilts and takedowns., it seems you don't work pinning combinations or breakdowns. and you could end matches. its abbey part missing from your game. ur decent on the feet and no one can hold u on bottom, you have great mat returns. I just think it would take you to another level. anyways love u dude thanks for making wrestling more popular and bringing so many eyes to the sport

I will spare my usual weight by weight break down as I don’t like doing that after a loss. I will congratulate Corrigan and Woracheck. Corrigan got a little hype going after his takedown in OT, but I hope this shows you how much your team rely’s on you Cayden. I say that not to put extra pressure on you, but to highlight how far you’ve come as a collegiate wrestler and as a motivational presence on your team. I don’t think you have anything else to prove to the rankings committee or to your fans. Go out there for super regionals not thinking about any outcome, but focus solely on your own self and I promise you the success will be there. When you are on your game with an offensive mindset where winning is the only option (different from not trying to lose), you are fucking unstoppable. I know you will use this as fuel to the fire man, and so will your team.

Momentum is massive to a team in wrestling. Look at the Nebraska/Michigan match. Michigan coming off a beat down of Iowa and Caleb Smith turns DeAugustino early and wins. Van Dee upsets Ragusin. Hardy beats Lemley and then it was over because the momentum was with Nebraska. You'll learn from this and it will make you better. Lengthy wrestlers for the weight class are always harder to beat.
