I think my ultimate goal in life is to live like the natives used to. So basically strip all the cash-based garbage and be left with making food, shelter, water. I want to grow enough vegetables that I am set for the year and I can hunt for the rest of the nutritional needs I have. I want to build shelter from trees I cut. Heat my house with logs I chopped. I don't want or need a middle man anymore. If I want food I want to harvest it, not go to a grocery store. However, finding a mate with that mindset is very difficult or I think I would already be living this way.

Hi, I'm new to this WWOOFing and looking at doing Big Island or/and Oahu. I am 55, I have an a small 12lb dog that I cannot be without unless an old lady wanted to care for him. Has anyone encountered problems with dogs with them? Yes I know all about the requirements for dogs into island so no need to explain it to me.
