"噯喲, 噯喲, 噯噯喲!" - Singaporean Hokkien Soldiers' Anthem

"噯喲, 噯喲, 噯噯喲!" is a Singaporean 福建兵 (Hokkienpeng) (Hokkien soldier) anthem, sung between the 1960s to early 2000s. Taking on various lyrics throughout its history, the tune survives today in a English version of the song, as most young Singaporeans today cannot speak or understand Hokkien.

I remember my unit had their own version during the 12th PERSCOM celebration. It was sung and played by a fellow NSF. It was definitely worth a treasured memory. 🥲

叫 - to call 鸡 - slang for prostitute Thank you so much for this, it reminds me of the military movies they air here, haha, I have just finished my service last year myself!

Correction: 0:39 English translation of ITD should be ITD (Infantry Training Depot) and not BMT. Similarly at 0:49, BMT should be replaced with ITD. Apologies!

At 0:48 it translates to "ITD is a 3 floor house" (I think, my hokkien aint good) Also at 1:28 Na in Na si should be written as 若 I think( again, my hokkien 無好的）
