Whoa...$150 is quite the steal! Good catch! I would pick one up to if I have the extra dough...because it's certainly nice to have spares since the staining issue seems to be somewhat widespread. Plus, you can set up both versions of the eyes with an extra faceplate so you don't have to swap them anymore 😁

If you only want just one of these figures from the Herene Hound Line, I'd nominate Tache or Rine. They're lots of fun and lower maintenance compared to Katherine and Grainne. Happy collecting~

@@TheWizardjones Luckily I was able to get a replacement sculpt for Grainne. But the original one had gained a new stain streak just by being in the box. The twins on the other hand don't have the staining issues and are still affordable. Good luck hunting down a set~ Sadly no I don't have Discord. But I swear, one of these days I'll get my act together and be a proper KZfaqr with all the social meeds like Discord, Reddit and all. I do have the Cerberus set on pre-order, though I'm only cautiously optimistic since looks like their first time departing from the usual face sculpts...hoping for the best though 🤞 I'll be getting the Han/Ming dynasty costume sets in the meantime as well. Hopefully they'll turn out OK.

Hi friend! Your senses are sharp as usual! I believe "Grainne" and "geis" are borrowed from Irish words. Originally, I wanted stick to the Irish pronunciation, "grawn-yah". But since we're getting the phonetic translation from the story blob, I ended up going with how the creators envisioned it. Either ways, Grainne's jacket would be awesome to have IRL. Did you collect any 3A figures before they went under? If we ever see a male character from the Serene Hound line, I suspect he'd look similar to Tomorrow Kings.

@@ElbearToys So it's safe to assume with the naming convention and orange hair that she is Irish. Nice. I'm just imagining her with a thick accent teaching the other characters how to pronounce her name. XD I do have a 3A figure but it's a girl. Little Shadow. Very unique proportion and super detailed clothings. Ashley Wood's style is very distinctive. If i8 makes a male figure he'd probably looks pretty too to fit with the others style. That's not a complaint. XD

Good luck! I have a distinct feeling that mine was just bad luck. Most of the photos I've seen from bloggers did not appear to have this issue. Should the worst happen, hopefully whoever you bought from can at least help with exchanges...because it looks like I'll have to buy replacement parts on eBay at this point.

@@ElbearToys I've had a few figure necks stained by dark colored clothing over the years. Hot Toys The Crow, Art-Figure Dredd, Toys Era Laser Eye. Unfortunately there does not seem to be any solution to this. Some vendors have recommended cling film to prevent torso stains, but that wouldn't work for heads and necks. Hope you will be able to get replacement parts for yours. Thanks again for the review 👍

Thank you for posting~ Loving your content as well as your 1/6 Replicade setup! And subbed! The complication on this figure (for me at least) is that the stain is on the face sculpt. I'm afraid applying chemicals will damage the paint on the face as well, as opposed to, say, a seamless body where the color and rubber are one and the same. Still though, gonna try your suggestion next time a seamless body gets stained. Thanks again!

By the way, I did go ahead and order i8Toys Grainne The Geis Witch figure and it was suppose to be delivered this past Friday, but for some reason the USPS system wants to keep my package for a little longer. It arrived to my local postal distribution facility and today the tracking shows it arrived at a postal distribution facility in another State. WTF! That's my one worry when the figure finally arrives if any staining will be evident. I guess we'll see. I do plan to do an unboxing and review of the figure. And if there's any stains, I'll mention and show in the video how I removed the stains if possible.

@@luigivaccariellos9379 Oh, BotW Link! Nice catch. I personally really like it. But it's made by Medicom, which is a blessing and a curse. It's a blessing because Medicom does great anime-style head sculpts, and they knocked it out of the park because Link has multiple expressions plus movable eyes. It's a curse because Medicom figures usually don't age well. I've had a few Kamen Riders that broke by themselves from just standing there because the plastic became brittle over time. This might be extreme, but I've seen pictures of tears in Link's neck because the soft rubber has hardened from exposure. But all in all, if you can find a good deal, definitely go for it. BotW Link is easily one of my favorite Medicom figures. I've even featured him a few times on my channel for size comparisons. It' still OK but I'm afraid to pose him for the reasons above. Lastly, I highly recommend this review below. Well it's not technically a review but it's got some of the best shots of the BotW Link. @@luigivaccariellos9379 At $700, it's a tough call. I don't wanna sound like the devil's advocate, but if you really want it, it's well worth it. It's only gonna get more expensive later. Plus, it's Medicom. A limited shelf life is almost in the contract even if you buy brand new. So have fun with it while it's here. If you can reasonably finance it, then your enjoyment is all that matters 😃

I have a hunch that the stains aren't common and I just had really bad luck. So hopefully yours is OK. I'm a bit hesitant on applying anything to remove the stains though, mainly because I'm afraid the paint app in the surrounding area will be damaged 😔

Ooo thanks for the tip! I'll pluck mine out of storage this week and give it a try. Anything in particular I should try? Otherwise I'm just gonna dunk it in the normal rubbing alcohol (if not just apply a layer over affected portions).

@@ElbearToys Hello. Have you tried to soak it in alcohol? I got mine yesterday and it has the same issue. The head however is a different thing. Mine was not affected as hard as yours. Sure there is an stain line but near the neck hole and not visible near the chin as yours. I have to take off the head outside of the body when I store it in the box. Not sure how to avoid the stains on ther legs every time I store her inside the box. the buffer paper near her legs is so hard to insert.

@@toonleap I have yet to work on cleaning off the excess dye. Oh and if you haven't seen my pinned comment, the head sculpt received a new stain streak after 3 weeks of the video, but you have the foresight to leave the head sculpt off. Please continue until you're able to clean off the dress. Speaking of which, the GameToys Zack is having a similar issue. From what I can gather at the forums, some collectors recommend that you take the offending clothing and wash it in a bowl of warm water. Rinse and repeat until no more dye is visible in a wash, which might take up to 10-15 washes. I'm not sure if alcohol works any better as it seems like the dye just need a solvent to carry out the excess. Hope that helps~

Hello friend!! I'd recommend this one BUT (and this is a big but) the staining haven't subsided on my figure. The chin's got a new stain streak after a month or so back in the box. My retailer was able to send a replacement which I'll store separately from the figure body. I'd try washing the inner dress a few times once I feel comfortable taking everything apart. So if you're getting this, definitely shop from a place that have some form of customer service. Sideshow actually carries i8Toys now if they cater to your area. And this brings me to my next point. Avoid TW if you can. It's come to my attention that many collectors weren't able to get their GameToys FF7 figures because TW never actually paid their vendors to secure any inventory. They always list below MSRP only to charge way too much with shipping. They collect upfront, so it's tough to reverse the transaction if they mess up your order a year later. Hot Toys is their bread and butter so they likely won't try to pull any funny business there. But it's gonna be risky if you order other brands with them, like Limtoys, Tunshi Studio, and GameToys to name a few. Not to mention, they likely won't have any replacement for defective items since they don't buy directly from suppliers. Hope that helps. Happy collecting~

@@luigivaccariellos9379 Dang it...I hate to be the one to bring you bad news, but Comic Sanctorum is really just Toys Wonderland in a different costume (they're ran by the same people). I'm not sure if Comic Sanctorum will actually deliver Limtoys' batch #2 Arthur Morgan, but I'd certainly consider that possibility given the recent developments. And yeah, this hobby is needlessly difficult to follow...thanks to scalpers and complications like TW/CS. As for now, some "community-approved" sellers are Giantoy, Gundamit, and OneSixthKit, the latter of which, actually has the batch #2 Arthur in stock.

@@ElbearToys I just ask for refund, they just send me an email today that Arthur its gonna be delayed until Jan, i already had him thanks TNS figures, but i just wanted another Arthur.. i Guess i have to pass to have 2 xD Btw and good news, i just found Grainne in the same page, TNS figures, i bouth inmediatly because i have good experiences with that store and was a good price. Just hope that shes come in great condition with no QC issues, i had very bad experiences with Mafex 1/12

@@luigivaccariellos9379 Wow...TW/CC won't have their batch 2 Arthurs until January. The cynic in me wants to say that's utter BS 😔 But congrats on getting yours from TNS!! If they ever come through next year, then having a second is worth considering just because Arthur has so many posing options. Plus, there's a new head sculpt add-on in the works. It's a bummer Medicom/Mafex never bothered to keep up with the times when it comes to build quality. And good luck with Grainne~ It's a good thing you're getting one now because if the staining is to happen, picking up a new one years later is gonna be disastrous.

I thought about this too but decided to side with how the creators of the character envisioned it. It's not necessarily correct, but it is what it is. An analogy would be Luffy from One Piece is pronounced "loofy" instead of "love-y". Along with the word "geis", it's obvious these were borrowed from Irish words. But Grainne was spelled without the proper diacritical marks. And of the two words, Grainne was also the only word that had a phonetic translation in the story blob, that's what I ended up going with. Too bad though. It would have worked out perfectly if it even sound remotely like "grawn-yah".
