I love this song and you did it so well, Iam. I just watched all of your performances on American Idol and I want you to know how moved I was to hear your story. Your first performance of Monsters brought me to tears as I thought of my own father who passed away on May 5th 2022. Then you got me again when you sang your beautiful rendition of What a Wonderful World... I lost my mother on February 12, 2022, just a few months before dad passed. My mother and I danced to that song when I got married; It was the mother son dance. She loved that song. Then you got me AGAIN when you sang Sound of Silence so beautifully. I have been a life long fan of Simon and Garfunkel. My mom was my inspiration to make music just like your dad was yours and I definitely picked up a taste for my parents generation of music (my dad couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, but he tried! Mom sang and played the piano.) Iam, I am sure that you already know this, but I know how one can never hear it enough... Your dad (and your mom) are very proud of you.
