Hello dear friends, Can you relate to the subject of today's video? This "falling behind in life" feeling gets influenced by nothing but exterior factors, from peer pressure, societal pressure to effects of social media. You're never really behind. Everyone has their own timeline, yet we're made to feel lesser about ourselves purely through external influences. I realised only recently that no adults have everything figured out. We're all living for the first time, no matter whether you're 18, 30 or 75. Good things take time. All you have to do is simply take the next step. 🌟

I frequently feel as though I've fallen behind - as time itself for me seems like it's stuck on "Fast Forward." Tempus fugit! I think your doing a wonderful thing here, and I've actually found some peace and comfort watching. God's blessings to you...

Dear Daria, This was a lovely video!! Loved the piece your husband was helping you set up the art studio and drilling a hole in the garden pot. Just laughing together and having fun, beautiful moments together 🧡 I'm already 62, not feeling the age and not minding it at all, and my husband made me an 'art studio' in a little bedoom upstairs. There is a window, love that too for fresh air. I've always loved painting, watercolours, but never had my own place. Just as you i did it from the dinertable! Very happy with my desk and bookshelf now. We have a renovation going on in our house, it is needed, but i have some anxiety now and then ........ Your video brought some peace and joy, thank you for that, Still love it when you you talk to us. Like a friend is talking to me! Have a wonderful week. Lots of love 🥰

In addition to your gift for writing in a beautifully lyrical and poetic way, you are deeply insightful. You manage to be an excellent life coach, while also communicating poignancy and hope. Bless you for being brilliant, and thank you very much for sharing your brilliance, for in doing so you make the world a better place.

I just love your videos, so honest and down to earth. I'm 67 years old and I'll be honest my life has turned out nothing like I expected it to be. There's a saying that goes " Life is what happens to you when you're making other plans." It's true. But I've learned to be comfortable in my own skin, take what Life offers each day. I don't feel old. I feel like " just me". The young girl will always be inside of me. In fact I'm sort of glad that things worked out as it did. It forced me to take chances that I never dreamed of and circumstances proved to me that I was stronger, more capable and more resilient than I thought. Don't fear thirty. It's only the beginning. As another saying goes " Life is so daily!" Don't worry about the future, just enjoy the ride! ❤️

I have to laugh (and groan with understanding) at the fears of a young person who feels like a late bloomer. At 72, I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, haha! And that's just perfect. I too am an artist and feel no pressure to sell anything. I also paint in watercolors (in sketchbooks mainly), but have worked in other media as well for my own pleasure and the joy of painting with other plein air and urban sketching artists for the camaraderie. I'm also a poet, violinist, composer, videographer, choreographer, and many other things. Life has been full! Your videos are comforting, inspiring, and beautiful. Your paintings are really good, and you have a lovely style. Keep going toward what draws your soul! I learned a long time ago not to wait until I "retired" to do what I always wanted and to have adventures, because who knows whether you'll have your health and energy if you wait that long. I've done those things all my life. Good for you, Daria! And love your personal sharings. Thank you for being you! You bring light into this world.

So happy you were able to make your own creative space. 💕 I’m fortunate now to have an extra room for my own. I’m in my 50’s and only bought my house 3 years ago. I never thought I even wanted it, but things aligned and I’m so happy. I understand about always preparing and not really doing. I’m trying to push past that myself right now. Your painting is beautiful! Nice to see you this morning. Have a lovely day. 💕🍁

Hello, My name is Kaitlin, and I am 22 years old. I am an artist, singer, and writer. I am thankful your channel came through my recommendations a few months ago. I've watched a few of your videos, but this one was a confirmation. For many years, since early middle school, I've felt this pressure to have things figured out. With this immense pressure, I've always felt like I was falling behind while great things were happening to my peers. I'd wonder if I was doing enough or if I was doing the wrong things. This season of my life has been teaching me patience and living in the moment. I am learning to honor my inner child and listen to her more. Thank you so much for this video and I wish you many blessings.

It's not bad to want things, but it's definitely bad to make yourself feel bad about not having things. As you said in one of the previous videos, no one should blame themselves for not becoming an astronaut as an adult just because they wanted that as a child. Life has its own ways and we just need to do our best with what we have. If you really want something, go for it! ❤☺ Lovely video! Love all the bits where you talked to the camera! It really does make it feel so much more personal 😊

Your comment about adults are still children inside rings so true. Society pushes us to "leave" the child-like wonder and joys behind and immediately jump into the hustle culture of working and having everything figured out. We need more reminders that we don't need to have everything figured out in life and that its okay to enjoy the journey and its many twisting paths. Everyone's path's and timeline for their own achievements will be different and that difference is beautiful and always worth celebrating. I hope your own journey is filled with love and the same child-like joy and wonder! Cheers.

Thank you for sharing your journey 😊 At 50, I learned the only consistent thing in life is inconsistency. I am so happy for you that at your age you decided to make the shift in life where you’re living your most authentic self. And living means searching, not knowing, trying, making mistakes but all-in-all going forward and letting your true self lead the way vs pressures from the outside world. I also am renting after owning two homes in the first half of my life. And though I too wish to have my own home again, it was a necesary move to let them go. And it’s so much more worth having the freedom than having the possession. Cuz even when you have a home there’s no telling what life may bring. So a house is never a permanent home. Home is where ever you land for the time being. And wherever that is make that space a sanctuary. Again, I am so happy you are taking this adventure for your trueness sooner than later in life though you have trepidation and uncertainty which are very valid feelings. Just know those feelings tell you that you are actively living. Some people never awaken and give themselves that freedom to choose a life more sincere to their heart. Never doing it is sadder than doing it later in life. And even one year of self enlightenment is more valuable than the decades that came before. Value of life is not measured in quantity of time but quality of time. For the only time we are guaranteed is this very moment. Best to you 🫶🏼

Your every word resonates so deeply! The concept of time, age and even achievement is all so different to each of us. What is bliss to one is the worst thing imaginable to the other. One may feel old at 30, the other young at 78. In fact, I have a neighbour who is 78 - he does pilates, rides mini marathons on his bicycle, fixes everyone’s gutters in the neighbourhood and is generally such an active person. I sometimes feel like he’s younger than me in spirit!

That poppy-field and the moonrise is achingly beautiful. Each video again is more magically crafted! As one of the little young ones of ambition about to launch into university (😬🤡!) your message was quite steadying-by decades and age milestones I may or may not be where I currently envision, but that's not necessarily a terrible thing. And a good reminder to not get ensnarled with worrying and preparations instead of real doing!

😃👍You are so right, Daria! Life is what happens while we are preparing to live, so let's enjoy the process!🖌👌😁 And when it comes to art, I find that once you've acquired the basic skills, the less planned projects are often the most brilliant and rewarding ones. 😁 At first I thought it was just me, and I lived with that imposter syndrome, as If I were a child pretending she's an adult… when I wasn't! 😱 (It is so stressful and exhausting to make believe! 😅) Only life is important, and creating happy moments is paramount: it nurtures happiness in the world. 😊 I foresee many happy moments coming from that new and lovely Art corner of yours! 😉 We have just witnessed one of them. Every stage of life carries special moments and beautiful memories. If the focus is on cherishing joy, learning, improving, planning, and letting go, then, life becomes a surprising journey. Being twenty, thirty, forty, fifty and so on becomes an experience dotted with beauty, memories, exploring, and self-discovery. It's an ongoing process. Life is like a rose: true it has thorns but there is perfume, colour, delicate petals... As I grow older, I am becoming aware that if my inner self is taken care of, physical age takes second place, along with material things. Take care.

13:56 would look even nicer if you were using a fountain pen. You strike me as the type of person who either already uses fountain pens or would enjoy using them. I noticed this because I recently got into fountain pens and love using them and learning different styles of cursive and calligraphy. The Pilot Metropolitan is a great starter pen and comes in various colors and designs. That is a beautiful painting.

Hi Daria, I love the artistic universe you've been creating, and I wanted to thank you for so much inspiration. ❤I'm 44 and I feel exactly the same, as I'm living the same start as an artist from scratch, after a total other lifestyle for 40 years😅 I understand totally this feeling of being soooo far behind, and in the same time so excited to try 😍 You're actually quite quick from my point of view as it took me nearly 3 years just to practice watercolor, post on Instagram and start to consider that I could propose my art and services as every creative does 😅 I'm nomad as well so it's not always easy to balance everything. I feel so slow that sometimes it hurts, but I'm also proud to allow myself this slowlife I dreamed about. A creative mind is dispersed, curious, multi passionate and we can't really stop it, just learn to make good things with it I guess! Enjoy your journey 😊

Here in sweden, no one buys a house until they start a family - and even then there are many people who live in apartments with their kids and do just fine. I know in other countries - including the UK - the norm is to buy a house as soon as youre old enough but that really isnt the case here in the North and probably not in many other places, either.

I am 35 years old. It is scary to turn 30. But I can promise you it gets easyer. You start don't care so much what people think about your life: kids or not, not their business. Busy or not it's not their life. You found a partner or not, don't let them bother you. A family member said me: You will regret not doing kids. My sister has the perfect answer: How I'll regret something I didn't want at that point?! I will regret only doing what anyone else think how should my life be. And don't plan to much... Because life it's not a straight line. It will trow you forward or back when you least expect. 😊

These videos are nice and cute, but I think they’re far more for the person actually posting them than for the people watching them. It gives them reassurance so that they feel less lonely/or alone. But unfortunately the "advice" that they give, they’re even struggling with it themselves. We are all on our own paths, but frankly I always listen to people living balanced, stable and fulfilled lives, not the ones still looking for themselves (age has nothing to do with it here, you could be 16 or 85 I would say the same thing) who seem to share words of wisdom, and yet you can see that the "advice" is definitely more for themselves, they’re barely walking the talk. I don’t resonate with that
