Spend a few slow days with me in a remote off grid cabin in Exmoor - a stunning area in the British countryside.
I'm loving the idea behind cabins like that. They're a perfect getaway from the buzz of life, giving you just enough time and resources to disconnect.
I've been contemplating my life so far and thinking where would I ideally want to see my forever home. I am currently renting, and I know I won't stay where I am for too long. I wanna find a place in England or in the UK that feels like me. A place which feels good to my soul. I think Exmoor is a place like that, but I don't know yet whether I'd move here. The search continues. :)

Oof, a lot of thoughts in this video. :) Let me know which points you agree with, or perhaps disagree? Have you found a place that feels like home to you? Most of the time I speak of "home", I largely mean it metaphorically. I don't plan to buy a house just yet, and something I realised is that even if I do buy, it doesn't mean I couldn't ever move again. This thought of settling used to scare me, but now I'm yearning for a place which feels like me, in this current sense of being. Though part of me will always remain a wanderer.

Hi Yes for me it's home at peace with my dogs and pony and family of course I like to think and paint I like being on my own I find it relaxing and calming until my husbands home not to say it turns upside down when he gets home .I totally agree with you we never stop enough and look at what's around us I love the countryside we are all so busy with life and worries and its good to step back I love life and living even more so as I've been through cancer twice and have feared for my life often. surviving Is a very special thing and I have the constant threat of it returning like others who suffer this terrible disease every day is a bonus which most take for granted I love your videos they are so charming and makes us think what we are missing and we need to stop sometimes thank you so much

It was so cinematic! I love its atmosphere and English countryside seems so peaceful and beautiful. We often forget how tiny we are in the universe and we take our life too seriously. I'm not saying we shouldn't care at all but we should let ourselves be ourselves, not try to impress other people by putting a mask on, trying to fit into the group we don't really fit into. Me too. I do the same. Whenever at work i feel trapped (we are at a factory 10 hours surrounded by brick walls). So they let me use my phone. And search for this type of videos😊😊

It's rather interesting. I usually perceived the whole thing about our lives being so small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things as something sad and perhaps even as "what's the point of doing anything?". It's not a thought that I relished and it normally came to me when I was already down about something. It's very interesting to see a different take on it which is what you expressed. Because our lives are so small it gives even more reason to live them to the fullest. Beautiful video! Well done ♥

I think that no place is all things to me. I love where I live near beautiful rolling hills that stretch for many miles. But there's another part of me that longs to be near the ocean and walking barefoot on warm sand. Unfortunately, here in California I can't live in two places.

@@keithlomas6107 Very difficult in California, unless you're very wealthy. Or live in a small town where there is very little employment opportunity. I have to drive one hour to get to the beach. Longer if there's traffic, which there usually is.

Gorgeous scenery and a visual feast. Always enjoy your thoughtful ruminations on life. The clotted (cream) which I have never tried in the states and the jam on scones (one of my favorite breads) looked so delicious! The tea room was a warm cozy refuge from the cold rain I am sure. I always seem to emotionally identify somehow (through film and literature)with the heavy overcast skies and inclement weather of the UK (and the Northwest of the US/Canada)even though I was raised in a hot, humid and sunny climate. Thanks so much for your very creative gifts to your viewers!

Dear Daria, I'm completely with you on what you share on your vidéos. Wether it's your search for beauty in everyday life or for a place you've call home. I'm in my 50s and about to sell everything and Travel around the world, thinking that maybe along the way a place will appeal to me so that I'll call it home. But I've learnt that it's the journey we must enjoy, and it's true, if we slow down we discover little gems everyday...
