@LengForChrist4 жыл бұрын
@@zinhlexaba5149 Hey, thanks for your message. You are GREAT for asking. Its brilliant of you. 1) You need TONS AND TONS of counselling from the right medical and spiritual personnel (trained medical counsellor and your pastor or imam if you are a muslim). Are you ready to stick it out come 10,20,30 years from now? 2) Beyond love, the NON-INFECTED PARTNER (henceforth referred to as the NEGATIVE PARTNER) needs to not verbally, emotional or physically abuse the infected partner. Some negative spouses keep making THREATS of exposing the positive partner to outsiders in marriage thereby turning the positive partner to a slave or kind of master-servant relationship. 3) The status of the infected person needs to be kept STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL. Its none of the business of the siblings, friends or parents/uncles/aunties of the negative partner. Marriage is strictly the business of two of you. Keep it that way. Its not only for the sake of the infected partner but when kids are bone and being raised, imagine a scenario where your child returns home crying that a relative or a neighbour or family friend divulged unpleasant information (gossip) about their mom or dad? We should go all out to keep our affairs private. Who knows what others outside have as their secrets? 4) The POSITIVE Partner needs to REGULARLY ATTEND HIV HOSPITAL VISIT DAYS BIT MOST IMORTANTLY TAKE HIS OR HER MEDICATIONS UNFAILINGLY. People have been known to live up to 30 years with the virus. 5) The issue of caring for the sick person and funds being used for care must be discussed prior to the marriage. 6) The positive PARTNER needs to take responsibility for his or her health. I mean they need to be serious with their compliance with medications, hospital visits, their intake of healthy foods, keeping fit and abiding triggers of crises and must avoid playing the victim card where every petty thing turns to " you are doing this or that to me bcos of my status" kind of behaviour. We can't change the past but we can change tomorrow. 7) The positive partner needs to have a positive friend who can stand in to collect drugs in case of ill health and hospitalization. 8) Finally, psychological and mental health are critical to success. The positive partner needs to be MENTALLY STRONG. HIV doesn't kill as fast as cancer or sudden death these days but what if the positive partner starts being careless with TAKING MEDICATIONS??? THANKS AND PLS REPLY ME. Thanks.

Hi Lindi. I have two close friends living with HIV and a lot of family members. One of my friends was diagnosed when we were 19, so they've been + for 8 years now and I will tell you what I learnt from my friends, the days are not the same at first and even after a while sometimes. One day is all shiny and happy and one day feels like it's gonna end by the middle of it but there more you open up about those feelings and share them with someone who understands and allows you to be at your lowest but helps you up again, then you get better. I hope you have or find someone you can trust that you can have these random it intentional talks with. Don't close yourself in your head for too long.

I never comment on ANY video but this one, I am compelled to comment. I was with a man whom 1. Literally Forced me to sleep with him or else he would break up with me & 2. He was mentally/emotional abusive. A year later in our relationship he broke up with me, out of nowhere. After months of contemplating of getting tested (he did cheat on me in the relationship) I was fearful for my life. The thought of my life changing in seconds made me even nauseous to go forward & get tested. This year 2020 I decided I needed to know, I went to get tested and it came out negative. I promised God I will not sleep with a man anymore until they married me (some married men cheat too, I know) Your story touched me, because I was just there, fearful. Listening to your story was sad to hear but your strength and courage to even share it with the world is beautiful & I admire you for that. Stay blessed.

Red Carded yes I made the mistake by staying in that toxic environment, but nonetheless I learned something from it; to love & value myself first. While I was trying to be a hero and hide what I was going through, I was slowly dying inside. I was on the brink of committing suicide when I convinced myself to get help. It wasn't easy.

I love your story ❤️. I found it on my recommendations a few days ago. I recently found out I was HIV positive about 2 weeks ago. I could relate to your story all the way . I was shattered, maybe still am. I've never been involved, sexually before. Like, ever. I'm finding a way to move forward, taking it one day at a time. I just turned 19 a few months ago. Having a safe community has helped me. And prayer. Lots and lots of it. I love your story and your channel. Thank you for sharing. ❤️🌻

Thank you for sharing your story❤ I was very very irresponsible as a guy with a girlfriend as I slept around without using protection, I tested and the results came out negative but it easily could've been me. I have decided to change and stay loyal Stay safe and use protection. And remember to always test.

Nozi thanks for such an encouragement, I suppose this has been a lesson that God answers prayer, hiv status is not your destiny but a condition. Hiv does not hinder you from doing good/being happy in life. I am glad you found love eventually, shine bright dear & raise a happy family. Thanks to our brother who committed to love you, May God richly bless him for being there for you. 😘

For me it's the #IamStillMe 😥🙏 That has been the biggest fight in this whole journey. I've been living with HIV for 11years now... also the "good girl used". I carried so much shame in this. In one moment of overtrusting my life changed in ways I can never imagine!! Dating has brought so much rejection at some stage I felt not worthy of love... but Glory to God, I found myself again... that statement Carrie's so much healing that one would never realise! I am still me... I am good enough... and I am worth it ♥️♥️♥️

Your story was so moving. I'm glad you found peace and healing. Most importantly you forgave yourself, and where able to move on from that relationship. U have a beautiful light on ur life, which is partly why I clicked on ur story. Your beautiful inside/outside. You helped me understand forgiveness and moving on.
