The accuracy of Bipolar Disorder in this show is insanely good I have to say. My brother is bipolar it can be quite frightening, but yeah this show helped me understand it a lot better tbh!

Yeah well dude try being bipolar along with autism schizo effective disorder pervasive developmental disorder I was just breaking down because I was having thoughts of off myself just now this moment as we speak but I didn't you know why it's called will power but I still be thinking about doing it at times nobody knows what you going through until it's too late

I hate Monica but Monica was the only one who understood Ian. Yes Monica was crazy, but Monica just had the wrong people around her, her whole life she had the wrong people.

I have bipolar so I completely understand what Ian has been through so with proper medication you can get through life yes it has its up and downs

I am bipolar it’s so bad. The bigger problem is that I am bipolar 1 and 2. ADHD. Depression. Anxiety. Multi personality disorder. I have struggled and still do. I refuse to lose

Watching Shameless actually connected a lot of dots for me. I saw my own behaviors in Ian... other than being promiscuous... I was in the throws of a bad manic episode when I got help. After the meds and the therapy, I have to say.... its a love/hate relationship with my disorder. I love feeling my highs more often than not... its when I hurt someone when I'm high that hurts most and makes my lows worse. That is something i hate. Through therapy, it is believed that I was showing signs of the disorder as a preteen. Its hard, but I do still appreciate this show for inspiring me to take action

I had ODD, bipolar disorder, Anxiety, and ADHD And Some STRONG PTSD And some of these Disorders are in my records except the ODD due to the fact it can miss with my Private life I have had Depressive episodes, Mood swings, Random moments where I just start crying and balling my eyes out, I've self harmed, and tried to OD it's not an easy disorder and it takes over my life but Bipolar can be handled, how I handle it is I just go outside and starr screaming hitting things anything to release built up anger

Just got my diagnosis a month ago. Used to joke about this kinda stuff. About suicide. It’s not funny anymore. This disorder is mentally and, oddly enough, physically painful. Total respect to those who make it work. It may very well claim me.

As someone who suffered from clinical depression, i mean, i dont think i suffer from it anymore, maybe it will come back,who knows,but as bipolar also being type of depression, i truly felt for Ian... People still today do not get what depression is and they try to either make you crazy or to glorify it People need a reminder that its okay not to be okay but also that you wont stay that way forever
