This week on Rockonteurs we have another hero to Guy and Gary as we welcome Ian Hunter to the podcast. We think Ian has just made one of the best albums of his career with ‘Defiance - Part 1’ which is coming out on April 21st. The new album is a star-studded collaborations project with the likes of Joe Elliott, Billy Gibbons, Slash, Johnny Depp and two late great legends, Jeff Beck and Taylor Hawkins. This was Jeff’s very last recording.
With tales of Bowie, Mick Ronson, Ringo and Mott the Hoople this is another classic episode of Rockonteurs.

Great to hear you guys highlight Ian. The guy is a true living legend. Must have seen him live 100+ times and never disappoints. He has written so many great songs. Great podcast and what is obvious is that you two gents love Ian’s music too. ❤️💙

The Glasgow venue Ian was trying to remember wasn't Barrowlands. It was Green's Playhouse, later renamed the Apollo. Spandau Ballet played there in 1983.

'RocknRoll' by Led Zeppelin is quite a good intro (based on 'You Keep a Knocking' by Little Richard btw). Anyway, Great show... More please
