In memory of my friend Ian Stewart who passed away recently. Ian drove the wheels off his 240Z nicknamed "Thing 2" and always had a blast doing it.
He had been lapping consistently in the 1:42s and I believe even hit a 1:41 that day, wouldn't be surprised if he got that lap while doing his best to hunt down John Morton in the flying Hawaiian Z ahead of us.
I was fortunate enough to know him the last 7 or 8 years and got to know how intelligent, driven, competitive and professional he was about everything he put his heart and soul into. We not only co-drove his Z in this enduro but later on that year we were co-chairs for organizing the Motorsports program for ZCON 2023 in Socal.
A great person, driver and fierce competitor. He will be missed, please enjoy this video and share it around.
