IAPLC - THE BEST FISHTANKS OF 2019, SUMIDA AQUARIUM TOKYO - JAPAN VLOG PART 1

Did you know that you can participate in Aquascaping Contests with photos of your tank? Well, the ultimate goal in every pro aquascaper's life is to win the International Aquatic Plants Layout Contest, otherwise known as IAPLC. Being in the top 27 will open new perspectives, it is a dream come true. Winning the aquascaping contest has changed careers, has brought instant recognition to many planted tank enthusiasts throughout the 19-year-history of the Contest - Takashi Amano sensei's legacy.
This video will bring you behind the scenes of the IAPLC 2019 Awards Ceremony. We also visit the Sumida Aquarium in Tokyo, showing you stunning and huge planted tanks, most of which were scaped by the Sensei himself.

Excellent video, thanks for bringing us along for the journey. Sumida aquarium is really something special, I remember walking up those entrance steps and just being amazed at that beautiful massive aquascape I've seen featured in so many videos. All of those scapes are true works of art. And the IAPLC banquet looks like an incredible experience, can't wait to make it over for that one day. Thanks again for sharing this with us all.

They use reactors, and dissolve the CO2 into the pressure side of the filter...

Great video. Well done! Also, how the heck do they get that black black in these aquariums. It’s all about contrast and man they are good at it. I wish someone would share a secret about how to do that!
