I was in a new shop recently and found one of these, used and beat up with repairs done, including an epoxy wash on top. I was stunned by how good it sounded. It clearly smoked some of the 800 dollar Breedlove guitars on the wall. I walked out with it for 195, and after having my buddy do the fretwork, it sounds so full of life and just incredible

I had to lower the action on my AW54CE-OPN and adjust the truss rod, otherwise it plays just like my $700.00 Martin DXM (back in the 90's when you could buy a USA Martin for under $1500.00)

I have it tuned to the GOO GOO Dolls song "NAME" , you can look it up on youtube if you want to learn the song., Very easy.

Is this a good guitar for a beginner? There are so many choices out there it’s overwhelming 😊

yeah I think it's great but I don't have a lot of experience with different guitars. I did my research and this felt like a good value. You don't need to get the one with electronics in it if you don't intend on recording directly

Almost every ibanez is good for anyone... I've never found a brand that plays as well 'strait off the shelf' - most others need to be worked on to get good playability. I've owned a number of them, both acoustic, electric, and hybrid... all were great.

Hey! Nice review. I'm considering purchasing this guitar. How is the action? And is the neck on the thinner side?

I don't have a ton of experience with other guitars. And this one was used so the action could have been changed. I ended up buying new strings and lowered the action myself. I'm digging the guitar. You can always adjust those finer details yourself

Wait... was that Ibanez in a Taylor box? are they the same manufacturer?

I don't know. I bought is used so it could just be a random box they used.

It looks like he bought it from Guitar center because it has a green sticker saying recycled cardboard I bought a Schecter bass a while ago and it was shipped with a Epiphone box

i own the same guitar. i think its beautiful and veeery playable but sound is bad :D it sound like paper guitar a little bit. i think i will take something different one day

I like the sound. I just bought new strings too. Hopefully that helps make it sound even better. Every little bit helps
