IBESSONG est un jeune artiste sénégalais. Il a grandi en Casamance. C’est là qu’il fut atteint par le virus de la musique.
C’est avec son ami Jules Koukouba qu’il a commencé par faire du Rap. Puis, Influencé par la musique reggae, par des artistes tels que Sizzla, Wasis Diop, il a préféré suivre la voie de Bob Marley.
C’est en 2003 que sa carrière musicale a commencé, dans un pays où le reggae est une musique adulée par tous : la Gambie. C’est là qu’il fut les premières parties du chanteur sénégalais Pape Diouf, de Fally Dieng et Assane Ndiaye. C’est en Gambie que sort son premier clip « Listen to me », consacré meilleur clip es 2003 en Gambie.
En 2006, il sort au Sénégal cette fois-ci un single intitulé »Déterminé à agir » en duo avec son ami avec qui il se produit à travers le pays.
En 2007, il intègre un « cartel », un groupe du nom de « Tiv Syndicate ». Quelques mois après, il fait une collaboration avec des amis de Mboro sur un son en prélude du FESMAN (Festival Mondial des Arts Nègres), mais aussi avec Teen Bi, et des Parcelles Assainies en 2008.
Depuis ce jour, il a repris une carrière solo couronnée par un maxi en collaboration avec Stamina Sound Record.
Il enregistre en 2019, le mixtape « Diangal cii mane ».
Son premier album « Step by Step » est sorti le 10 novembre 2023 sur toutes les plateformes.
