Thank you for making this review! I‘m going to the ibis budget hotel in Whitechapel this summer as well (I booked the new nest room for three people) and I was wondering what you think about the public transport connections into the inner city. How long does it take to go from the hotel to - let’s say - the Big Ben? And would you say that the area is „safe“ to walk through at night? Thank you in advance!

Your welcome! Hotel is cosy & breakfast was great. The Tube is best way travel in London and from the Ibis Hotel(Aldgate East station) this will take around 20 mins to Big Ben(Westminster station). I prefer walking in the summer, as you see so much more! I found the area safe at night, although if you’re arriving at night there are plenty of Ubers & Taxi’s available.
