That's way too many students for 1 class session
@rodjjt7742Ай бұрын
This is why I don't like seminars. I've gotten more out of smaller simpler classes.
@tfajshАй бұрын
To have that many people to train with is a gift!! Especially if you are training for worlds
@rodjjt7742Ай бұрын
@tfajsh that makes sense when you put it like that. These are high level competitors, not average Joe's like me lol
@tfajshАй бұрын
Absolutely. But I get why people prefer smaller classes. Especially if you have a great instructor that can work with you closely. But throughout my 16 years of training BJJ I’ve come to realize that getting different looks from different sized people really accelerates the process. Especially if everyone has different games. Best of luck! 🤙 keep training!!!

I’m glad our gym doesn’t all look the same. All white. Geez. We can wear whatever gi we want. Training is training. Doesn’t diminish
@chrissheilaАй бұрын
I guess if the academy wants to build a team mentality then they’ll wear the same kit. Players don’t turn up to Manchester United training wearing whatever they want. Agree that some take this way too seriously though and adds to expense especially when changing ‘teams’.
@bigdopamine9343Ай бұрын
Yeah it looks like a cult. It usually means the coach has to demand respect rather than earn it.
@georgewashington7982Ай бұрын
It’s a team based academy. Uniform is uniform. Represent your team proud on the mats when competing Imagine watching the NBA and watching your favorite team wear whatever tf during their game lol
@KevinClarkson93Ай бұрын
Blue, Black, Pink, and camouflage Gi's stain the white mat which is incredibly costly to replace. I also speculate that the Mendes Bros don't want to have to deal with the pink/camouflage gi guy and his "individuality" aka cry for attention.
@MrZachgonzАй бұрын
Might be to keep the mats from being stained. It doesn’t look like they enforce the same Gi rules, just color of Gi.I see Kingz, Shoyoroll, Elite etc. I went to a gym before where you were forced to wear the gym’s own branded Gi’s and they sucked.

The instructor making everyone wear the same school uniform is what we call a warning sign.
@Jeremy_0587Ай бұрын
A warning sign for what?
@kirillbobyrevАй бұрын
They don't have to wear the same school uniform, the Gi just has to be white. No Gi is a different story, I think.
@PoppiStrawberryLemonАй бұрын
I'd cut my pinky off to train at AOJ everyday.
@AdventistasHDАй бұрын
They are not the same, they are just white, due to the all white training mat. So relax nerd

Yes, AOJ is a very bad gym…. The hell you talkin bout boi

Os caras cobram uma nota e montam uma academia com um espaço desse?? É brincadeira...

Everyone in a white Gi is odd
@michaelstrong4823Ай бұрын
We can make zero money, have less fame than competing in ADCC, and know in our hearts that two no gi schools in Austin are better than the rest of the world. Wear combat pijamas folks. Say osss. Bow.

Jiujitsu has saved me in a street fight, along with a solid standup of course. Gotta cover all grounds imo
@rodjjt7742Ай бұрын
@_realone915 same here. I've used it in real situations, and it's kept me safe. I was just curious what this person would say is better.
