IBM 4030-1B Test/Sound off (My Loudest Fire Alarm Device!!)

Күн бұрынA video for thesdx, and a special #OneYearOfFireAlarmFriday sound off video to celebrate the one year anniversary mark of Fire Alarm Friday. Here's a sound off of my IBM 4030-IB (Simplex 4030) horn. This horn is the loudest alarm in my collection. Its loudness is most likely over 100 DB too which is crazy loud.
What some of you probably didn't know: Fire Alarm Friday started on April 24th, 2020 by a youtuber named Miniman0404, and The Fire Panel (Fire Alarm Tech). The Fire Panel has since made his first video from April 24th, 2020 a private video. In the early days of Fire Alarm Friday, youtuber Vintage Fire Alarm Guy got the Fire Alarm Friday name out by uploading 1-2 videos a Friday, or sometimes on Saturdays too for system test saturday. He did this for quite a while. He currently (as of April 23rd, 2021) has 61 Fire Alarm Friday videos on his channel. Miniman0404 was another one who uploaded many Fire Alarm Friday videos too. He uploaded one video on most Fridays, and currently as of April 23rd, 2021 has 37 Fire Alarm Friday videos on his channel. Go check out their channels and videos if interested.

A grade school I attended had fire alarm horns like this one, and it was VERY loud.

Many older school buildings in Oregon used those for the outside “bell.”

Fun Fact: If you cover/uncover the horn of the 4030 repeatedly, you can make it "Burp"

When I was in school my fire alarm was this thing and I was always dead afraid I would go deaf when it happened
