Just a small correction, GREXIT did NOT entail Greece leaving the European Union. The question was based on Greece's potential withdrawal from the Euro-zone, and a return to the Drachma as its official currency instead of the Euro, there was no mention of Greece exiting the European Union. That would be an entirely different question.

I am Greek. I once ate at a McDonalds and I didn't really like it. We have a native competitor here, Goody's, and most people prefer it, that's why we have so few McDonalds.

Switzerland actually isn't in the EEA so things as EU roaming or free museums for youth don't exist there. On the other hand Norway actually has most EU benefits as an EEA country most of the time just not fisheries, customs union and Parliament representation.

The UK did not clearly want to be out. The vote was slim and the campaigning was "clearly" misleading. Then you also said that it was arguably good or bad for the UK and the EU. There is no argument about that either. It was BAD for the UK and bad for the EU. The figures are confirmed.

17 million and roughtly half million people voting to leave vs 16 and roughtly 150 thousand people to stay is not slim. Brexit is about the UK being able to choose it own path and the only options as a island it would have in the EU is to give up its island perception and culture and become more intergated to the mainlanders with bridging and tunneling the channel or forming a niches the EU/mainlander can't do themselves. The UK returning to EU should have its own niches to add to the EU or the same thing is going to repeat in the future with either brexit 2.0 or it will add voices to leave the EU party slowly breaking the Union if EU fucks up in a realy bad way in the future.

I'm going off on micro scale of 1 million people voting vs your macro scale of 1 million people voting. yes its slim if you look at it via macro scale but for me its 1/5 new zealand, 1/9 london and roughly the population of Mauritius. @@Andrew-cv2uf I use the same scale electoral experts tend to use and especially on single topic votes. What is interesting is that in 1979, Scottish people voted on devolution. They had pretty well the same results but it was a binding referendum and there was a clause about turnout. It was intended to project Scotland against such slim margin results. Less that 1% change in opinions is tiny. There was some drizzle in the afternoon, and the older demographic tend to vote no matter the weather and the younger are not so keen. Now we have polling data which is so much clearer than we had in April/May/June 2016....yet we are told we should not be allowed to re-visit the vote after seeing the consequences!

As a German I'm honestly surprised that the German medium wealth per adult is more than half of Italian and French people. It's also significantly smaller than from the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, the UK, Denmark, Ireland, the Czech Republic AND Greece???! Since when are we Germans that poor? Am I missing something?
