What can I say? After the first twenty minutes I was debating whether to turn it off and look for something else ... but ... I persevered and have it admit it was a movie worth watching. Like a lot of older movies, the "action" is slow to develop, but the plot and characterization was excellent. Definitely worth watching. 👏👏

Film noir feel to this movie. Damp streets, fog, neon glow, femme fatalles, and a jazz trumpet. The only thing it needed was a hard boiled narrative voiceover!

It always amused me that when ever someone is running away from an assailant they always chose dark and lonely places to get themself killed or maimed.

Or when the victim manages to take down the criminal by hitting them once, the victim always drops the weapon and runs allowing the criminal to continue pursuing the victim, priceless.

Very good film and great acting. I have read most of the books of Ed Mc Bain, a very prolific authot and I have enjoy very much to see Steve Carella, Meyer Meyer, Bert Klings, and all the detectives in flash and bones . They were my heroes and still they are. Really good. Thanks a lot 🌹 to post this good movie🌹❤️💯👌

She was going out for a smoke when all of a sudden she saw a guy pulling a gun. She tried to hurry back inside, but she was a little too late when he shot her in the back and she died next to a door where women dance on stage.
