Mustard in tuna salad or macaroni salad in hawaii is pretty commonplace. A number of these weird combos are basically salt and sweet. People often eat waffles and chicken or french fries and ice cream (not my kink), so it's not that weird.

Ranch with deep dish pizza is AMAZING. I didn't try it for DECADES and I was born and raised in the Midwest, and then my best friend introduced it to me. IT. IS. AWESOME.

Oddest combination I've done. I was using Ritz to make various little cracker snacks to try. PB, just J, PB&J, turkey & cheese, sour cream & diced onion (thought I'd try it since sour cream and onion chips are good.) I had a little bit of sweet onion left over and didn't want to waste it. Figured, what the hell, and slapped the leftovers bits onto one of the two with just peanut butter. It was actually pretty damn good. They're not blow your mind good, but not bad at all. Neither flavor overpowered the other or came on too strong, they complemented each other. Plus, I'm one of those people that doesn't like when food is mushy right off the bat unless it's mashed potatoes with gravy. The onion crispness made it nicer. I also make sandwiches and dip them in my chili. The mix of mayo and chili is just great IMHO.

My mother held the same illogical position of "it's all going to the same place," failing to take into account that the destination _is not the journey;_ the food must pass _the taste buds,_ and some/many mixed foods (or as accurately described here, Contaminated Foods) just taste *_wrong..._*

I have to say I am with Achara on the food not touching thing and the people that fall under this fall into two camps 1. brumotactillophobia where you believe that food touching contaminates the ingredients (it's also a mild form of OCD) and 2. people who like to experience ingredients separately and even though it goes to the same place it changes the flavor and I like to experience my food the way I like to experience my food. I fall under camp 2 that sounds like Achara as well and I have a sister who is the same.

In Mexico (or at least the parts I’ve been to) they have street pizza and it usually consists of ham and sliced up hot dogs under the cheese and the traditional way to eat it is to douse it with catsup. Me personally, I enjoy ranch with my pizza BUT ketchup isn’t all that illegal to me I’m interested to know what Peepsi tastes like. Cuz I thoroughly enjoy the bizarreness that is Nitro Vanilla Pepsi and Coke+Coffee

I was born in the US but moved to Mexico as a kid, ended up moving back in 6th grade. I used ranch in the school pizza and my friends taught I was crazy I thought it was normal. Also did it in a grilled cheese sandwich cause it tasted bland otherwise so that was a bit weird but pretty good tho.

Ranch mixing with pizza is pretty normal I thought...that or blue cheese...considering the proximity of that to wings. I actually have grown to dislike Ketchup on everything except scrambled eggs and that is not even an everytime, too often it overpowered the flavor of what I was eating. I do however always mix mustard into anything that's using mayo. I can see perhaps the spam thing being alright, but I personally am not a fan of spam out of the can....have to fry it up. Can't think of any weird combos or what anyone would consider weird. Think the only thing I do is sometimes put jalapenos into the baked mac and cover the top with panko or even croutons.

As an Indian the most weird combo I've tried is sukka gol gappa with Australian grapes . Just try it before coming at me 🤣

@@aakarshverma5793 haha try it. Not with normal grapes but with Australian grapes . With sukka golgappa meaning not with pani . The grapes burst in ur mouth when u bite into it , it gives amazing flavour to the golgappa. Just like we use pomegranate in chats

Canned tuna with jalapeno salt, chipotle mayo, black pepper, a touch of sirache or hot sauce, and some smoked paprika. Mix it all together in a bowl, spread that bad boy on a cracker and that is one decent snack.

Fun fact, aside from Asia, ketchup on pizza is also extremely common in Mexico, my family looked at me in disgust when I visited and put ranch instead of ketchup, while I looked at them in disgust vice versa💀But I tried it and its not bad.

A few days back i bought a chicken fry named chicken softy roll(i though it will be a cheap substitute for the branded chicken spring rolls we get there) from a local store at a railway station...that was the most "oh god i wasted my money" moment through my face moment. It tasted awful and the only softy thing was my poop the next day.

I put chilli sauce + chilli flake on my pizza. If got barbeque sauce or black pepper sauce, I put on it together. Hot spicy pizza.

Tongue is lengua, not barbacoa. Beef barbacoa is usually made with tough, fatty cuts like brisket.

@@michaelw8262 Barbacoa is meat from a cow's head that was cooked/smoked in a dug up pit overnight. Very fatty. What we call lean barbacoa came from the tongue after the head was cooked overnight...lol. We ate barbacoa on corn tortillas after mass every Sunday.

As a 3-y-o, my sister used to chew any tablet given to her to swallow when she was sick. And I mean the actual bitter tablets. Maybe she didn't have all her taste buds developed back then. I tried doing this once and it was the most bitter, disgusting taste I could have imagined. I know better now, of course.

Scared for life: I was a teenager and was babysitting one day. I got hungry and found a can of cream of celery soup, but no milk. Found some hazelnut creamer and thought…milky. 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 Now even the smell of cream of celery makes me gag. I will never forget that taste…I can taste it now!

I was eating hot chicken soup, it was too hot and burning my mouth. So instead of spitting it, i quickly grabbed my cup of fruit punch and took a sip. The falvors mixed in my mouth. It tasted like what a hairy man's vinegary sweaty armpit smells like in the summer. Me being me, i was so disgusted and then thought wait what let me see and did it again, confirmed yup, that was a man's vinegary sweaty summer armpit taste ahd proceeded to gag😅
