It never fails when you drop a difficult tree using perfect geometry and mechanical imagination……the homeowner barely notices what a genius job you just did for him.

This was impressive in more ways than I can say. I have a green dolly like that and wouldn’t dream that it could handle that load. Also, I would’ve been tempted to haul the wood away from shore and let the lake swallow it up in the spring. That’s probably not allowed up there but it would just be structure for fish. Thank you for your great work and videos. 👍🏻

Nice slow release hinge! I did a hinge on a large diseased ash and it started to fall. We went to lunch and watched it out the window as it took an hour to fall. Perfect location, but not doing that again, LOL! No one in danger as we live on an acreage in woods, but I just need more practice.

@tinysworld17492 жыл бұрын
There was talk about doing this with a big pine across the lake from me. Because of the terrain and location of everything the options were a massive crane to get the height and reach needed, or drop it on the ice. I don't know if the jobs been done or not. Got another job I'm supposed to haul the logs from but theyre running out of time for the second winter now, frost won't be here a whole lot longer

I would’ve asked some of the local fisherman if they wanted the tree dragged off shore and just left on the ice so when it melts the tree falls and becomes structure in the lake.
