You did really well, but they don’t come sharpened fresh from the box, most rinks will sharpen it for you and it should be much easier!

I used to say to my mum that ice skating felt like I had to think about how I was moving + how the floor is moving. I know the floor IS NOT moving but because ice is slippery, I used to worry that I could do something but because of the ice being slippery, I would still move or slip etc. But with roller skating, I felt like I only ever had to worry about how I was moving because the floor isn’t going anywhere… I feel like that made NO SENSE but I would always struggle with ice skating even though I learnt it around the same time as roller skating 😅 I’m slowly trying to increase my confidence again so I can get back to roller skating🙃 it’s been a few years now but I really miss it, I had a bad dance injury a while back though so I worry about falling now 🤦🏾‍♀️ but such is life 😂 I can still fall even when just walking on my two feet right? So I’m trying to drill my confidence back into my brain 😂 your videos deffo help! Thankyou! 🩵🩵

I just started ice skating lessons this weekend but my skates aren't as pretty as those ones. Roller skating always seemed harder to me from our various field trips as a kid, but I might give it a shot once I get comfortable on the ice.

i would invest in proper bladeguards as it damages the blade less when ur walking round in them especially for breaking in the boot

i really hope you sharpened your riedells when you first got them
