While both Americano and Long Black are exactly the same, many people argue that they are different.

🔹️Americano is basically made by adding water to a double espresso. This will allow the espresso to be mixed with the water.

🔹️Long Black is made by pulling the espresso shot on top of the water. This will allow the crema to stay on the top, and the first sip from the cup will be stronger in taste.

🔹️Someplaces consider the LongBlack to be a shorter version of the Americano, which will be around 150ml of water

As for the amount of added water, it is entirely subjective to each coffee shop. That being said, a range of 200ml to 250ml should be the average 💯

Personally, we think that they are very similar and almost everybody mixes their Americano/Longblack before they drink it.
