This video is of a nature aquarium Aquascape by Adu aquascaping. Adu aquascaping is an artist that resides in Utah who specializes in advanced aquascapes. This Aquascape is a symbol of Iceland. Only a artist representation and of course manifestation. Aquascaping is a very rewarding hobby because it is very challenging. I hope you enjoy the Cinematic video of my 40 gallon nature aquarium Iceland Aquascape that I designed in 2016.

+KrispyAquascape haha, I learned that trick from Amano. Though his tanks are usually a lot thicker. I just risk it and always have. Just make sure that the rocks are flat and solid and hope that no sharp points are digging into the glass. You can always add a sheet of corrugated plastic to the bottom of the tank to help out, or use lava rubble, or egg crate. Thanks for watching man, and glad to see you're still around. Peace

Scape is maturing nicely Dave. What are you doing with this one with light,co2 and nutrients? You're using alot of mosses but i can't see that requiring a super high-tech setup. Maintenance keeping those mosses clean a looking good may give something to keep you busy going forward.
@ADUAquascaping
@ADUAquascaping 8 жыл бұрын
+AQUADESIGN by aquamaniac Thanks man, we will just have to wait and see how it turns out. Already the Monte Carlo is staring ti creep into the sand, so it will cover more of the sand as time goes on and of course the Riccardia will get really big and create big green domes everywhere. It is eventually supposed to look like the lava fields of Iceland. And it is also supposed to look like a solid rock that was broken into three pieces. I am calling it, "The One Who Became Three". I added a few more rocks to the back left side of the canyon, which added more depth. With this layout I don't think it is necessarily a good thing to be able to see the horizon line. Once I cover up the horizon line it adds more depth. Crazy because some tanks have a lot of depth with the horizon line incorporated into the layout. Either way, this scape isn't supposed to be scaled way way out like some massive mountain scene. It is more like a 100-200 foot tall hill or cliff face for example. Yeah the maintenance with the mosses and all of the rocks is crazy. Just have to wave my hand everywhere and catch everything that I can into the net. I am running it just the same as the last tank- high light, 2bps CO2, and minimally dosing the water column. Thanks for watching man.

The tank looks alot better without the red wood. My eyes stay more focused on the scape then the wood. Much better in my opinion, all you need now is the wooden bridge from the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and its perfect:) lol. Keep up the great wrk bud :) Happy New Year

+jeremiemcd Yeah the wood was a distraction.
@ADUAquascaping
@ADUAquascaping 8 жыл бұрын
+jeremiemcd Yeah it is way better now. Replaced it with aged brown wood, which is more subtle. Eventually it is supposed to look like the lava fields of Iceland, so it will get real round, soft and green. The canyon will become more narrow, which should add more depth, and the Monte Carlo will cover more of the sand. I also added some more rock to the back left corner of the canyon and it added more depth. It isn't supposed to be a scaled out massive mountain scene, rather 100-200ft tall hills and canyons for example. I found hiding the horizon line in this scape helped add more depth and mystery. It is also supposed to look like a big rock that has been broken into three. I am calling it, "The one who became three". Thanks for watching.

I really like the contrast between lit and unlit regions of the rockwork. I'm glad that the branches/roots were removed on the right side. Looked a bit cluttered before, now it looks balanced. How do you like the Halo lights? They seem to light the tank well in your video. I just wonder if there is too much shimmer.

You have some of the best instructional videos on here but sometimes I'd like to know what you're using, like the power head model for the tank size, filter for the tank size, lights, all of these are a great way for newer hobbyists to see what it takes to create beautiful tanks like yours. Is it possible to list the equipment and plants in your video descriptions? Even the fish - there are a few in this tank I don't recognize and I would love to purchase some for my next tank :)

hello great video and great aquarium! i saw here in the comments that you use 2bps c02 but i would like to ask what is the lighting ratio of watt to liter, and what kind of lamps are you using. in addition, did you use any glue when putting the mosses? i saw you brushed them onto the rocks, is it enough for them to hold tight on the rock and not coming off? by the way, i find the off focus frames a bit too long in this video, maybe i'm the only one, just an advice.
@ADUAquascaping
@ADUAquascaping 8 жыл бұрын
+MasterBuster I am using AquaticLife Halo LEDs. I run my lighting based off of PAR readings, and not so much watts per liter. Right now I am running two fixtures at 75% power, which would be around 65 watts per light over a 151 liter tank, but the lights are at over 24" above the substrate of the aquarium. PAR is over 100 even at 24"+ above the substrate. I just glue them on using cyanoacrylate super glue gel. It seems to do the job quite well. And I am dosing fertilizers minimally to the water column, and not using any soil. Just the sand. Just slow down and enjoy the effect. A few people said they loved those scenes including my nephew. :) Thanks for watching.

@ADUAquascaping
@ADUAquascaping 8 жыл бұрын
+Larsen T. I am using two AquaticLife Halo LEDs, which have superb color rendering and are less expensive than all other high-end models that I have seen... May not be as attractive, but the color rendering is really nice. I have no nutrient based substrate in this current scape. I am only using a mixture of ADA La Plata and Colorado sands. And minimally dosing the water column with DIY ferts and Aquavitro- I only use this line because I won a bunch of bottles. After they run out I am going back to all DIY fertilizer solutions, which I only minimally dose to the water column. I usually use Marfied Controsoil Aquasoil, but as of now they recently pulled their Aquasoil from Amazon and their website is down. I don't know what is going on, but I hope they start selling in the US again.

@ADUAquascaping
@ADUAquascaping 6 жыл бұрын

@user-zl3bh8sr7u
@user-zl3bh8sr7u 6 жыл бұрын
I understood! But what concentrations (ppm) of nitrates and phosphates do you support? I have a bottom in green algae! Maybe because of the fact that a lot of silt?
@ADUAquascaping
@ADUAquascaping 6 жыл бұрын
Дмитрий Сиренко yes it could be from your high organics in the water. Try to reduce detritus in your aquarium. I do not set specific levels or monitor levels of nutrients because dosing methods are arbitrary. For example, I dose similar to PPS Pro method, which is minimal dosing daily. Check out the dosing calculator at rotalabutterfly.com for more information on PPS Pro dosing method.

+Ace Purity Thanks, for now I may hold off on adding anything else. It is supposed to turn out to look like the Lava fields of Iceland. We will just have to wait and see how it turns out. It will transform and I will make adjustments here and there. Thanks for the input and for watching.

I don't get it I keep my sleeves wet but my results are not on par to this. I need to buy better equipment some of the sole you were speaking of that's cheaper than ADA. Then finally figure out this golden rule. I'd have to hire you for a day or a chat. Am amazing as usual

+Jason Stroman keep going man, just stay crazy, My first tank was the dumbest planted aquarium on the planet and looked nothing like this. Thanks for watching, the tank is looking very nice at the moment and added some more sand to the trails to add more depth. Peace
