Icelandic society is incredibly dependent on timely road transports. E.g. to ensure they match ferry timetables. When roads are closed, or trucks break down - stores simply won’t have fresh food to sell. Sigrid is one of very few female truck drivers in Iceland. In fact, the only female Scania driver. She has herself lived a life with serious personal challenges - and driving a truck is at the same time an escape from that, and a challenge in itself.
