That should be number one. "Getting lost is bad for the environment because the rescue team is funded with fireworks".

F*ck, only now realized Iceland has no trains. I mean, I always knew, but it didn't register until now. Mind blown.

😅 It just hasn't been cost effective for such few people. There are some talks to put trains to and from the airport. But TBH I don't see that happening any time soon.

I remember being moderately surprised the first time I heard there were no trains in Iceland (I'm from the UK, for context). But then I thought about it for about 2 seconds and realised there's not much point investing hundreds of millions of kronur in rail infrastructure if a new volcano could just suddenly explode up its ass and make it unusable.

Exactly... It is also a question of throughput. Even of you moved all of Iceland around every day. It still wouldn't make financial sense.

Me: so, this miniature house is not a elf house? Iceland: no. Me: just a miniature house for other turf house? Iceland: yes. Me: so, the children plays a bones, lamb horns and clam shells as toys in miniature houses? Iceland: exactly, very true! actually Icelanders don't believe to elves
@TimeWarpIceland
@TimeWarpIceland 2 жыл бұрын
Hehe that's right. Some people probably put the houses there for elves. But nobody moved in. Because elves don't exist. It is part of our culture, but I think it is a gross overstatement to say that many people truly believe they exist. I need to do a video origin of elves because there are three different versions. One involves Adam from Adam and Eve not getting laid. It's hilarious.
