At long last it's finally out! Episode one of the remaster!
As you can tell, I've also finally finalized what I want the arc titles to be called ^^ so "Aeon" is the series as a whole while "Bright Sky Fading" will be the title for the first arc!
Also a huge thank you and shout-out to Chylk for doing the sound editing on this absolute monster of an episode. She really made everything come to life!
We also have the public debut of the opening song as well! In this episode it's the ending theme, but will be played as a regular opening starting on ep 2 and onwards (to avoid ep 1 spoilers before the video plays).
So you can expect to see the official opening in it's entirety soon!
Also, a lot of you already know the reboot plans, but I'll go ahead and write it here for those who don't ^^
I am remastering all of the episodes. Originally I planned to just do the first episode and continue on with ep 7, but there some major changes I wanted to make, so I scrapped that idea and will be going back to the beginning. The current ep 7 would have a lot of changes to it, so it makes more sense to just scrap that for now and get back to it eventually!
The current plan is: Ep 1 - remake of the old ep 1; Ep 2 - combine old ep 2 and 3 (with some major changes and edits); Ep 3 - combine old ep 4 and 5 (with updates); Ep 4 - combine old ep 6 and 7.
Also I saw it wasn't listed in the credits, but Concept Artists for this episode were:

I'm glad you kept most of the dialogue the same. Nabu's little speech after he escapes the attack always gave me chills.

Ahhh this is so amazing!! Talk about huge improvement, especially in the art style! Even if the story remains mostly the same, it is all just such a huge improvement! The new voice actors do such an amazing job, and the editing makes it all seem so seamless and animated! And that ending scene hehe c:< I cannot wait to see where the remakes are going and what will be new :D

I've being following Aeon since the first episode. And all I can say is wow. Everything from the dialog to the art has improved so much. The backgrounds are gorgeous. The characters are beautifully draw and the expressions are excellent. Also that last scene is a masterpiece. So nice to finally see Davion appear. I look forward to seeing where the remaster takes the series.

Wow just like everyone else I didn’t expect the episode 1 reboot. A wonderful surprise for me and my partner who’s a voice actor in this. He’s so proud of the fellow voice actors as well. So glad to be following this series now as it becomes realized. Great job team!

I loved the old series and the characters in it, but I especially love the character changes in this reboot! Nabu, as much as I loved his character in the original, was mostly rude and dismissive throughout the series, even to those who cared about him. But in the reboot he became a justifiably antisocial yet still friendly, positive, and empathetic person, especially towards his family. His character feels a lot more understanding and fleshed out, same with the others. His personality went from being mostly rude and dismissive to being antisocial yet still open and understanding of others, and still having a pretty good positive attitude in cases which makes him a much more lovable and understanding protagonist. That also helps to make his brother's fear and nightmare of him being bad a lot more unjustified, as Nabu proved his fears wrong many times throughout the episode. This was so amazing and I can't wait to see the next episode! On a sidenote I also like how Rajhu was a bit more fleshed out, and I also noticed he seems to be a lot more harder on Nabu than the others, especially when he yelled at him which, although I understand why he was angry, he said some things he really shouldn't have said to him. I wonder why this is?

Thank you! ^^ and yeah one of the main things I wanted to change was about both Nabu and Meian’s character. I felt Nabu was a bit too bratty, then Meian ended up getting mistaken for too much of a coward. So I’m glad you think the changes paid off! ^^ As for Rajhu, he’s mainly just really stressed and acting out too much fhfhffh general character flaw of his XD

I love the new art style also I'm glad the story makes a bit more sense this time, not that anything was wrong with the storyline of the first episode to begin with but this version feels a lot more put together more thought out, I do hope nabus over the top snappy and bratty attitude makes a return cuz i honestly loved seeing a character like nabu, overall this is really amazing I love it so very much and I can't wait to see what's next

This is such a good remaster! The puppeting, especially in the second half is so well done it's quite pleasing to watch. The fight scenes in the beginning and well as the general suspense as the characters are fleeing for their lives has improved a lot from the original episode. Also, THAT ENDING. I was NOT expecting that and I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of the reboot plays out. There's a lot of great set up executed here.

The remake really shows how far Aeon has come along. I remember first stumbling across Aeon years ago, so seeing a remake is nostaglic and refreshing. Your art style has really improved over the years! The tweening along side with the camera shots were really well done. As well with the effects! I also loved the final scene! Again, a lot of improvement I can see here! Well done! ^^

Wow!! Where to even start ;o; let me just first say congratulations on completing this big of an episode, i can only imagine the amount of hours spent on putting this all together. It’s really been an honor to watch this story grow as much as it as. The lore, story set up, art improvement, the foreshadowing towards certain characters developments, the environments and world, the bio life, the names of cities and architecture and colors, everything you’ve put into this anime styled show is very breathtaking and extremely pleasing to see the remaster version!! Everything about this episode was amazingly beautiful, I loved all the moving pictures you’ve drawn (and backgrounds!!!) they were all put together so well and with a lot of weight and emotions behind them :) (I also forgot to say I absolutely love love love the art and sounds that go with the characters transition with transformations) Congratulations also to Chylk for aiding a great deal in really really bringing everything together, it truly comes to life along with the voice acting. Hoping you get to take a bit of a break after this! But looking forward to the next episode, stupendous work you should be very proud!!

Whoahh, tried to watch the series some years ago but kinda lost motivation because there where too many things going on. But now with this reboot I absolutely understood the storyline and you catched me now! I’m so exited to see how everything will go. Also I feel like you made great improvements on the drawings! Congrats on finishing the episode 🎉 I remember first coming across the original and thinking how great the animation and story was but this is on an entirely different level. The art, tweening, music choice and voice acting are all so beautifully made, I thought it was great in the beginning but it even got better in the later scenes asdfgh Love the use of perspectives and dynamic movements in the action scenes, and how nice the shading/lighting on the characters look. Can't wait to see how the future episodes will look like and where the story goes x3 Also Davion my beloved.....the way I froze for a moment when I saw him, did not expect to see him XD

Congratulations on completing such a big project! :D This was super cool to see the new art style, the "animation" is still eye-catching as if it was still animated (and super fluid!), the sound effects and music were really on point, most of the voice acting was well-rounded, the backgrounds were well-done and had so much life to them, and the story is really good (especially that scene at the end; very intrigued to see where that goes)! You have a lot of talent and skill. This is overall a huge, HUGE improvement from an already well-made episode! I can see all the time and effort that went into this, and I hope you're proud of yourself for such an accomplishment! :D I'm super excited to see where the revamp of this series goes, and wish you the best of luck in creating it! :)

Holy moly , this is absolutely fire! I remember seeing the original episode years ago, (I try to rewatch all these animated series on KZfaq at least once a year), but this is just an improvement compared to the original from the writing, dialogue, art, and just general atmospheres and the like. I still like the choice to switch from fully animated to tweened/pmv/puppet style it still feels so animated, esp the puppet moving with anchor points when it comes to what I assumed to be just a single image. I’d go on and on gushing but i feel I’ll break a comment word limit XD, massive congrats! So I’ll leave with the final: Aeon, along with many others, inspires me greatly to pursue my own series one day sort of comment.

I loved Every Minute of this! Wasn't feeling well enough to watch the full thing yesterday, ready for a proper comment now though. Honestly- i think the biggest thing that stands out to me is the backgrounds. Like holy shit ice- 11:56 - 12:12? They're gorgeous! Really like Sarkens new caracal design, as well as all the cameo and background character designs. They're more detailed than before and really fit the setting. I will say, that I do rather miss the old voice actors, at least for Meian and the Oracle. The new va's perform both roles well though so they'll probably grow on me with time. This really brought back memories- cant believe its been 6 years since you first started Aeon. Glad to see you're still working on it and continuing to improve after all this time. Well done Ice!

Ahh thank you so much! ^^ And 6 years for the current version of Aeon, but it technically dates back to 2011 with the start of Savior! Dayatora since the first two arcs of Aeon are a prequel to that, then the second two arc are S!D x3

Gotta say, this is a massive upgrade from the original, and while I love the original, I can also appreciate this new style and the style of animation you're going for. PMV tweening honestly is much easier to see than with usual animation, although both have it's good aspects. And I still love that there is tiny moments of animation that highlight what is going on in the scenes I also have to say: the way the episode begins with chaos and destruction that leaves you wondering what had happened: such an amazing start to the series Hoping to see more great progress with this series, it is one of my longtime favourites 🎉

Love it even if its not a full animation like the old series. I do question some changes though like how aggressive Meian sounded when Nuba ignored the saleswoman. I'll gladly rewatch the series be animated like this though.

As much as i absolutely love this reboot i feel the old one was better just my personal preference tho amazing job. I feel the old one had much smoother movements and much more flow to the characters
