What is there to say? Amazing song, incredible voice and a spectacular performance. Too bad this musical isn't well known in the English speaking world.
The translation is far from literal at some points. I thought it was more important to capture some of the meaning and beauty behind the original lyrics instead of having awkward and confusing lyrics that follow the German word for word. That being said it pales in comparison to the real lyrics. Not everything can be translated very well but I tried my best.
