Relating to the original Gotei 13 we just saw, I thought of a topic I'd love you to look at. If the Gotei 13/Sereitei had stayed bloodthirsty would they have obliterated the wandenreich? Off the top of my head, in a bloodthirsty sereitei. Zaraki would have been forced to fight Unohana when he became a captain by Yamamoto instead of Shunsui. Mayuri and other Muken/nest of maggots prisoners might have been accepted and funded for research (Like how Yama hunted out Unohana for the original Gotei 13.) Uraharas three day bankai method would be forced on all shinigami, the ones that live have bankai. Mod soul research/hollowfication potentially accepted. Even mass producing Uraharas invisibility clothing for usage. There's alot that might have changed if Yamamoto was still willing for shinigami to die pursuing more power. And I think you'd really do that video justice honestly

I never thought I'd see this arc animated let alone see it this good. The little things they've added like the old captain's fighting and the superb OST for the arc so far as a whole is blowing me away. I couldn't be more happy with the series so far.

The thing I liked about that flashback is that kinda explains the old question of how they were able to get past his almighty hax and kill him originally. Them sneak attacking him before he used almighty was a good explanation.

@@BrandonHeat243 You dont know that, we still cannot know why Almight wasnt used, if the reason is because it was the only option for Yuha or if it was a mistake. It is still possible it was not used for the specific reason of it being only option to get Soul King killed, as it requiered Ichigo. Even if Yuha won 1000 years ago he had no means of killing Soul King, so not using Almight could be the only possible direction to take by seeing all timelines. We can only hope we will get expanded on it in Anime.

I am german myself, here is the explanation: Qual means agony or torment in english. But I would take agony circle, because it describes the mental or physical suffering, sometimes before imminent death. It's actually really fitting, using that technique, just after Yhwach explaining what Ichigo actually is! Just making Ichigo feel agony both physical and mentally. So far I absolutely love the TYBW Arc!!

honestly seeing Shaz Domino getting one shotted by Ichigo was more satisfying then I thought it would be. Its like you could feel the anger, pain, and frustration Ichigo was feeling when he just rushed through Domino like he was the paper they use at marathons

I died inside of happiness after seeing these two last episodes 6 and 7. It was worth waiting for 12th years. Pushing 40,4 kids, engineering degree, senior Job title and still this made me act like a kid again. Almost cried after seeing these episodes, can't wait for the rest...

By far the best episode yet. Ichigo's conversation with Byakuya, his fight with Yhwach as intense, the flashback to the 1st invasion, ichigo looking like a deranged killer. Just perfect from start to finish.

They really did Sasakibe right in the new anime. They showed us he was deeply involved in the war, even impales Ywatch. It also make it looks very intentional when Ywatch returns the favor 1000 years later and impales Sasakibe right in front of Yamamoto as part of his revenge. It feels even more personal.

I think u missed the fact that Ichigo's flash step sounded more like a Sonido, hinting that his hollow mask is basically mixed with his powers now.

I noticed that while watching and I was so glad for it and the red reiatsu when he was going full power. It gave reason as to why he never used his hollow mask for a boost. It showed that he already had its power integrated into his regular set.

It increased my expectations for the final battle of this arc. It was like a glimpse of what we should wait of it. I mean, both of them will be even stronger up until that part, but still, I have expectations for a long and fast fight with lots of choreography now.

It’s cool to see Fullbring Ichigo get some real credit. He arrives at soul society injured and exhausted, but still manages to keep up with Yhwach in a sword fight. I know he wasn’t gonna win but still. That’s pretty impressive, and it’s probably my favorite fight of this arc so far.

I just love how human Ichigo is. He’s literally a teenager bearing such a big responsibility, which is why I love him as a Shōnen protagonist. His whole character reminded me how similar he is to Peter Parker. Even though I’ve seen the manga through and through, I always get invested in the Strawberry boy.

We also get zaraki Kenpachi age kinda confirmed. In the flashback 1000 years ago retsu has her scar. Meaning she fought zaraki before the Quincy war, meaning zaraki is 1000+ years old.

I find it a little nice foreshadow the fact that Ichigo's reatsu evaporates the rain, to the line Nimayia sais that Ichigo's reatsu is so hot it evaporated the Ocean in the Ho-oh den when he reforged his zampakuto

Seeing Byakuya in that state, his body, mind and pride utterly demolished in blood was terrifying and him practically begging Ichigo to save Soul Society in tears shows how bad things really are. It serves as a sharp contrast to his usual stoical prideful self, now the chips are down and Ichigo's brief clash with Yhwach serves to show how his hybrid heritage and savior's role can salvage this nightmare.

One thing I saw mentioned that I agree with is that the high speed movement sound effect they used for Ichigo sounded more like sonido then flash step, which is a cool detail to see ichigo use an aspect of his hollow powers like we only previously saw with his Vasto Lorde form.

The anime actually started doing this in the Ichigo vs Ginjo fight, with a small Sonido boom sound before the Shunpo sound, which is now more of a blended sound. It's a really neat detail.

There was an important line in the latest episode. Ywach asked Hashwald why he did not tell him about Auzens intervention. He told him he knew it would not have made a difference. It also corresponds with the vision he had of Ywachs death. It makes me think Hashwald knew Ywach would be the cause of his own demise the whole time. He also chose to go down with him out of a distorted sense of loyalty.

One of the best episodes so far!! One of the more subtle scenes I thought stood out was when Yhwach referenced Aizen and how he altered his senses in the short time they talked. Just goes to show how powerful Aizen still is, even when he’s locked up with Kido in the prison

This episode is so cool. It’s really impressive just how much new content Kubo and the team are trying to give us. The Gotei Flashback, new Quincy Incantation, and the extended fight sequence was amazingly well done. The pacing also got way better imo Alot of cool things this episode but I wanna stop before i write too much lol

It’s a small thing, but I think it’s worth pointing out. In the Hulu translation at least, as unfortunately I don’t understand Japanese, Byakuya calls Ichigo a man in this, I believe it’s the first time he’s ever done that. He used ‘Boy’ throughout the soul society arc as a derogatory, but now he shows he has so much Respect for the one who brazenly broke the laws of the soul society barely 2 years before.

The best one so far for sure. That tiniest flashback really adds so much implied depth to Ywhach that was just missing in the source material. I remember never really caring for ol’ buckboard as we used to say. But seeing his swagger animated, as well as this extended clash with ichigo. It just makes the vision for the character become so real to me.

“My precious son born in the dark” were such haunting words when I first read them in the manga. The original Gotei 13 with Yamamoto at their head showed us what savage demon's they were, and i loved every moment. I don't recall the fight btw His Majesty and Ichigo being that drawn out, but am not one to complain about more food on the plate.

The added content with the OG Gotei 13, a glimpse of how Yamamoto defeated Yhwach the first time, and and extended fight with Ichigo and Yhwach were great to fill in context.

People talk about past Yamamoto being a bloodthirsty killing machine. And they are right. The thing about that, is that you can be bloodthirsty and long for battle, and not be evil. You can be a vicious, battle-hardened individual, and not be a total monster. It depends on what you fight for, and what you battle for to obtain the label of "bloodthirsty..." I say this in reference to Yamamoto's relationship with young Shunsui.

This episode was absolutely insane. The animation was top notch and smooth, the fight scene between Ichigo and Yhwach was one of the best I've seen in any anime ever. This was a hell of an emotional rollercoaster and I can't wait for the next episode.

I see a lot of people speculating that when Ichigo will find Byakuya he is using Sonido, but I don't think it's this. I mean, for most part every sound effect still the same. The Hollow roars, the Cero sound are the same, but Ichigo's speed technique doesn't sound just like a Sonido. I CFYOW we have a character named Hikone whose able to use all of the four speed techniques we know so far. With that in mind, it should be possible for Ichigo to use Shunpo with Sonido, it would make sense with the sound. At this point Ichigo should be able to use Hirenkyaku without even notice the way he used Blut Vene automatically against Yhwach. Of course I don't know for sure, it's just a speculation I wanted to bring to the table.

@@dcap2743 Ichigo was ridiculously strong at the time though. Stood up to byakuya who without extra training scaled to Yammy later on. Also, Ichigo is the main character of the story. Naturally he’s not gonna find much opposition until he faces the big boss of the arc. This is a dumb opinion

Got goosebumps when the reiatsu were going out, and I don't usually get reiatsu. What an episode, even as a manga reader, I keep expecting the episodes to fall a bit short, but they are keeping the quality bar so high.

Hope ya will at least mention that in new outro scenes at the end we see burning candle and Yamamoto siluet inside fire before its blown off as a tribute for First Division Captain. I know that is a realy small detail but beside Byakuya monolog this really got me

My man Akon gets so much love in this arc, and the anime is givin him even more love it feels like. Ooh boy, I just love it up. Akon was always one of those characters I wish we had more of, and this arc is just gold. I am overfilled with joy to be able to WATCH this in anime form.

Original captains were shown to be alive when Yama made the “killing” blow against Juha in the first war. Which begs the question, what the hell happened to them between then & now for only Yama & Unohana to be alive if they were so strong? Vasto Lorde encounters?

It wouldn't surprise me if Yama himself disposed of some of them after he wanted reform. Unohana seems to be one who went along with the relatively more peaceful setup with the Academy etc

Well, there is a lot of ways in which they could have died, we have simple ones, like they just killed eachother for one reason or another, some maybe got old and died from old age, or as a consequence of being too old. We also need to remember that Soul Society has loyal families, which shouldn't suprise anyone that some of them maybe have been assassinated (most probably poisoned). Also Sokyoku exists for a reason, I wouldn't be surprised if one of them ended up being executed by it. That said I barely scratched the surface of the possibilities.

People don't get how strong Fullbring Ichigo is. Even though it was highlighted at the end of that arc against Ginjou. Who is actually very strong himself. Glad Ichigo got to show off more against YH here.

I dunno if anyone else noticed this or if I'm the only one. when Ichigo jumps, sees rukia and renji, then banishes... I think that's actually a Sonido instead of shunpo. the sound is different from a classic shunpo and ressembles more that of Sonido, also, the fact that MASK says that Ichigo's reiatsu dissappeared for me reinforces more the fact that it is Sonido, just like the fight with ulquiorra, also I think I remember reading that Shunpo is silent but leaves traces of reiatsu, but Sonido has a sound but hides reiatsu. what do y'all think?

I also think "God Like You" will be an entire episode unto itself in season 2, that's the perfect opportunity to inject some much needed details for Yhwach's past/how he survived the battle 1000 years ago.

Those first 2 minutes were GLORIOUS! I could not be happier! They are not just filling up gaps but they are making the source material actually cohesive and organic. Kyoraku calling out Yamajii and Byakuya crying always hit me so hard. Ichigo's rage moment to me was FAR BETTER portrayed here than in the original chapter. To me the original just felt like the usual shounen protagonist shouts, but here it felt really visceral. The only thing I can criticize is that I wouldn't mind if they took a little longer just so we could enjoy more of the GORGEOUS animation.

We learned from the "Hell Arc" starting manga chapter that powerful Shinigami captain souls get sent to hell. So there's a fair chance we'll see the original Gotei 13 captains in the future as the manga continues

I think you're right about that captain being a shiba. That looked like a sword technique that both ichigo and isshin use. And i think the girl with the eye patch has a similar look to hiyori.

I really liked the black and purple reiastu Ichigo had in his Bankai in the trailer. I'm most certain as a last decision they decided to edit it and make it black and white. You can tell when there were purple streaks of reiastu in Ichigo's rage in this episode and purple flickers of electricity in the aftermath explosion of Ichigo's Getsuga in the first episode.

It’s really cool seeing Bleach in a full blown renaissance. Bleach was one of my favourites when it was still being released, but as the years went on I fell more into the crowd of it being “just ok” but holy wow this entire season has just been mind blowing. I’m a huge Chainsaw Man fan and was expecting that to be, by far, my favourite thing this season, but nope. Bleach has consistently been so good and I hope we get more after TTYBW is over, whether that be a hell arc or a redone anime with this fantastic team.

Chainsaw man is good but its really overrated like AOT if you ask me dont get me wrong I love chainsaw man but its sooooo slow to start off that its actually takes awhile to grab you so i havent even watched the anime yet ill wait till like episode 12 to watch it cause that shit is droll for quite awhile the only bright spot is how Chaotic Power is she is fucking weird lol
