Ultimate speed 12V fuel and oil pump. Working, but you cannot count on it to extract all of your car's oil.

If you had put the container on the ground the pump would have pumped it easier, the higher the contained the more difficult it is to pump against the head of liquid. I would also guess the you pushed too much tube in and it curled back up from the sump.

You put the tube way to much in. The tube probably made a little wrap in the reservoir. Let the pump running while getting the tube slowly out, to find the sweetspot.

Hey mate you cannot allow the hose to curl up from the bottom...once the hose has hit the bottom of the oil pan dont push in any further....try again

Oh no. You didn't open up the oil cap. That's why maximum oil is not coming out.

I bought one earlier on the year, used it once, came to use it again today, doesn't work. The motor is broken after one use. RUBBISH. Don't buy it.

I've watched several videos on these oil extractors, No one seems to know how much oil is in their car? The used oil goes into things with out knowing how much came out. If the engine holds 5 quarts and you draw out four. That means you add 4 clean quarts of oil to one quart of dirty oil. The results is 5 quarts of dirty oil. Plus. The oil that they draw out is black which says to me that it's been long past due to change. SO.. so far these videos are meant for 10 year old kids that know nothing about cars.

Sure, its better to change the oil underneath the engine, but you need a ramp or a safe jack to lift the car. This is easy and fast. Just be sure the oil is not cold. As it written on the pump manual, oil should be 60°c

First i use pump and the remaining amount of oil through the plug.

👎 Dipstick tube on a VW Golf mk5 1.6 FSI is too thin. Couldn't use the supplied feed tube. Even a spare 5mm tube I had wouldn't fit. No option other than to do an oil change the old fashioned way.

I have been using this pump the last 3-4 oil changes and it works very well. It pulls about 4800ml out of 5l oil. Also I don't know why you want to clean the tubes afterwards - you aren't going to be drinking from them :). I just leave them be in the box until the next year's oil change. I think there were caps to put on so the remains don't spill.

i cut a thin long tube from an old refrigerator, and adapted it on the plastic tube, the shorter the pipes are the faster the pump draws oil (the thin plastic tube coils up in the engine and does not suck all of the oil)

Got one last year but I use it for bleeding brakes. Better than the pressure bleeding one man kits I've mounted it in a small plastic toolbox with a 7AH SLA and waste collection bottle for the old fluid. Nice easy clean way to do a change or remove air.

Awesome video dude! Thanks for sharing such an experience with us. I understand your partial disappointment about the fact that it doesn't suck all the oil. But c'mon. It is a less than 20 Eur thing. As for me it is fine if I will need to a small follow up from under the car. It would still be less messy underneath. At least I hope so. Didn't try yet though.

I just tried mine for the first time and it got pretty much all of the oil out. My drive is on a slope so all of the oil gathers towards the dipstick end of the sump which really helps..

Did you check the oil level before you started so you know how much oil should come out?

@allhandmade, when you drained the rest of oil from the bottom, was the pressure much less than when it was full? My biggest worry is to catch the stream in the pan without making mess on my driveway ;) so if 1l left means much less pressure that full 5l, this pump will still be very useful for me :)

Thanks! I was thinking about buying one of these today. I'm undecided, as similarly I can't change the oil filter on my own without a mechanic. You can do it, but I don't trust myself to work on the underbody safely and might mess it up. Think I might let the big boys do it for me
