How the Illmatic cover didn’t get perfect, but NWTS did is beyond me💀! Each to their own! Far more complexity and meaning in the Illmatic cover than NWTS, and for me at least it’s more powerful.

@@sawyernate53comparing 1989 to gkmc is just trying to please both sides but failing horribly to do so, un peacekeepers do a better job at peace keeping gkmc easily better than 1989 though Taylor has been getting unfairly hated on sometimes but 1989 deserves to be hated on won aoty over TPAB and even if tpab didn't exist there were better albums than 1989 excluding tpabin 2015

In 1994, a double exposure photo wasn‘t as easy as you might think. Plus, it shows Nas as a kid in the Projects which is the theme of the music. Don‘t flatter yourself.

I think iconic and great albums are synonymous with their album covers. Rating album covers is difficult because it's either the quality of the music inflates the album cover's rating or the album cover is what makes the great album complete and allows it to shine

The Abbey Road cover brings me a lot of nostalgia because when I left Australia to go to Europe for a month trip, when went to England along with Italy, France, Germany, Amsterdam etc. I went to Abbey Road and we recreated that photo and there was this lady who literally just stood in the road and did know where she was.

NWTS's album cover is definitely better. The sky, the detail of the face. Blonde is a picture showing Frank's emotion. Still good, but not better than NWTS, purely based off the art.

Get "Nothing Was The Same" out of here and place place Abby Road there. The composition is better, more interesting color pallette, how the suits combine with the background, the coordination between the band members, etc.... Also, not placing Illmatic on AT LEAST Amazing is beyond me. There's so many dope details with the photo, like if you look at the light on his forehead how it also looks like the sun on the street, the serious look on the kid's face, how the curtains behind the kid blend with the buildings behind him (letting you know that it's a kid watching the streets through his window), and his eyes being at the same level as the horizon. HOW IS NOT AMAZING!?
