Personally, I think Darkseid and Apokalips are done to death and are boring. Still, the writers of My Adventures With Superman had pulled many pleasant surprises before so I am, tentatively, willing to let this pass. Let's see where this goes from here.

@@TheCropTopCritic Let's hope so. One of the problems I had with Darkseid is that he lacks depth and is just an irredeemably evil one-dimensional card-carrying villain. I mean, being the New God of Evil and Tyranny, I get the argument that being that is the entire point of his character, but it makes it difficult for him to be portrayed as a complex, interesting, if still evil and menacing character. But that's just me, and I am very much the kind who rather perfer the likes of Doctor Doom to the likes of Thanos.

The main thing that tipped me off was wartorn Krypton looking like Apocalypse ... and the fact that the red energy that takes Kryptonians' powers is called an 'omega field', instead of 'red solar radiation' this time around.

Just for the record. In comic cannon Krypton was destroyed by the Krypotions overharvesting energy from the core, and Brainiac hiding that fact from the council and public until it was to late.

@@TheCropTopCritic he sounds more like an evil buisnessman, than an evil robot. Brainiac in Legion of Superheroes had much better deph as a villain, although this one has the best character design.

Darkseid's Omega beams. Yeah, Got that. It's a Good take on the destruction of Krypton though. I'm curious though, the Kryptonian Empire infers they visited other star systems to conquer them. Did they ALL have red Suns? An entire armada of Supermen could stand up to Darkseid EASILY, as could their nearly indestructible alloys [outside the influence of a red sun]. Some holes in the Krypton Narrative here.

That’s true. I could see Darkseid using red sun Omega fields like in the show to attack Krypton, but he also could have had inside help from eviler Kryptonians

I think that explains the war drones, when Krypton would encounter systems with red suns and etc they would need robot warriors to take up the fighting for them

Only for all that uncontained energy to flood into Krypton, destabilizing it, trillions being bathed in the energy of Apokolypse, turning into Parademons, while those who are lucky turn to ash. A once vibrant, lush technologically advanced planet, now bearing the scars of Darkseid, the very core of the planet firing out in a sea of green turned a glowing fury of crimson and gold. The planet, forever broken. I can just see the Kryptonian Fleet, who were once cheering at cracking Darkseid’s planet open, incinerated within the blink of an eye. The remaining few Kryptonians, and Brainiac as well, were scarred for life at the horrors they witnessed as their once Yellow Sun turned Red, the power that embedded the conquerers of the Universe leaving their bodies as wave after wave of Once-Kryptonian-Now-Parademons swarms their ships, tearing everything apart as General Zod gives the order to retreat.

Darkseid is someone who wants to control everything, he wouldn't want to Krypton, he'd want conquer it, my take is Krypton destroyed itself out of panicked desperation for resources and a chain reaction led for the planet's destruction, the fault is Zod and Brainiac, and they to reclaim their power in the new empire, and Kara would be horrified by it.

He may want to destroy Krypton if they acted a fool and tried to conquer Apocalypse. Probably did it as a warning to other species in the galaxy

This would make sense at all. Darkseid was at war with Kryptonian, until they were all completely destroyed by a powerful warlord and rules of Apokolips.

i feel like next season Lex is being setup to be the main big bad, but i wouldnt be surprised if we got teasers of other Leaguers in season 3 building up to Darkseid being the overarching main bad in season 4 (if they get that far, S3 is confirmed and the show is pretty popular so heres hoping) because Darkseid is not a threat just Clark or even just Kara and Clark could deal with alone

Is it too hard to hope for a new unique only to the show alien race that destroyed krypton, or are they just going to stick to the whole darkseid being the main villain. At least they should consider new genesis or rogol zaar as the destroyers of krypton. Justbto make it interesting.
