I just tried doing the method you described, and that definitely looks better than my past attempts which I didn't show on camera because Ryu looked like he was pushing a shopping cart instead of firing a Hadouken 😅 I think my mistake was when I tried securing the second wrist peg, the arms' extension were gone by the time I get my clumsy hands into a good grip. Well, it's that plus I don't want to compete against an overabundance of Hot Toys reviewers. It also takes a long time to make one of these so I have to pick my battles carefully.

Agreed. Chun-li's physique is stylistically exaggerated just like Ryu's, so only custom tailored bodies can do these characters justice. With that said, I hope we can get a Ken and at least a Gouki/Akuma since their contours are similar to Ryu 🤞

Thank you so much for watching! That Link figure was made by Medicom and was imported from Japan via HobbyLinkJapan (HLJ). This was back in 2017 or 2018. Unfortunately, that Link had since been sold out. And Medicom figures don't usually age well, so there's a chance for cracks in the soft rubber body even if you're picking up a new one today. Still though, it's a great looking figure, and definitely worth considering if you see one at a good price. Hope that helps~

Iconiq Studios hinted that their next figure for this line is likely gonna be Ken. A Blanka would be nice too. I hope we'll also get a Gouki/Akuma, and if I may be so bold, a Dan as well. Because let's be real. Dan sells himself 😂

If they have trouble staying on, I'd wager the hand parts aren't fully inserted into the metal joint. I'd also recommend using a hairdryer to slightly heat up the hand parts before inserting them. But do make sure not to over-apply the heat as the melting point for these kinds of plastic tend to be low. A nice and even warmth all around should do the trick. And definitely use caution as there's always that very slim chance the socket on the hand parts are slightly too big so they won't perfectly stay on. Good luck~

@@TwesomE They are a little shorter as Ryu is listed around 5'9 in SFV. The aim is have have accurate 1/6 scale.

@@TwesomE I might also add that Hot Toys tend to over-size their figures in recent years. Their Iron Man figures keep getting taller and taller. Die-cast Iron Man Mk5 and Mk7 are almost half a head taller than Mk4 and Mk6. Same with Mk85 being taller than Mk46. And don't get me started on the DCEU and Arkham Batman figures 😠

That's a totally valid concern. The pessimist in me is worried for the same thing. Given that Ryu's body has so much volume, the surface area is also larger than the typical TBL seamless bodies, and by extension, a greater chance that something will go wrong over time. I only take comfort from the fact that I live in a rather cool and dry climate so I never had any issues with any TLB figures I own (other than the occasional dust). Surprisingly, I've had some Hot Toys seamless bodies deteriorate, but never the ones from TBL. In conclusion, I wouldn't rule out the possibility that the body for this Ryu will eventually breakdown. But personally, I'm not worried about that for the foreseeable future as long as I store it properly and not leave the joints bent or mangled for too long.

Cracks, rips, and tears are common woes for seamless figure parts across hobbies of different scales, and the TBLeague bodies that make up Ryu and Blue Mary are no exception 😔 I'm a little fearful of the Ryu body breaking down just because it's massive, and thus the surface area is huge. Though I have yet to have a TBLeague body breakdown on me over the last decade. Best way to preserve it is leaving them in a neutral pose, displayed in a cool and dry area and away from the sun. Hope that helps~

Thank you friend! As for the durability of this seamless body, it's hard to say since this is the first of its kind. My old TBL M35 muscular male figure body (which is already a few years old) is still lookin' pristine. Objectively speaking, the rubber on this Ryu one has more volume, thus more surface area, which in turn also increases the chances of blemishes and cracks over time. My honest opinion is that, yeah, it will eventually break down one day, but given the proper care, it should last a long time. Also, thank you so much for your kind support this year 😊

No worries my friend. I've talked with a colleague in great lengths theorizing how the KZfaq backend was engineered. It sucks that they haven't figured out, but there are so many things that could go wrong.

That SF2 cabinet is part of the Replicade series by New Wave Toys. It came out around 2019 and sadly is long sold out from their store. Though I hope they do a re-release like they did with Dragon's Lair.

Oh that's no problem at all. In fact, thank you for asking because I have many characters I wanna see in 1/6 and it all comes down to categories. From my latest (and silly) obsession, it's gotta be a 1/6 version of Jenna Ortega's Wednesday Addams on Netflix. For gaming characters who are icons of their genre but are WAY overdue for a 1/6 appearance are Samus Aran (Metroid) and Alucard (Castlevania). Personal all-time favorites that are unlikely to become reality are James Sunderland (Silent Hill 2) and Rock Howard (Mark of the Wolves). For more modern IP's, I'd take anything from Aloy (Horizon Zero Dawn), Nathan Drake (Uncharted), to the Chosen Undead in Elite Knight armor (Dark Souls). There are many more but I should stop here before I ramble on 😅 As for InArt Joker, I actually do have both the sculpted and rooted hair versions on pre-order. I will likely be doing a review for those, that is unless if they release them batches and I ended up being the last person on earth to get 'em. From the looks of it, only bloggers and influencers are getting their figures sent first. Thanks for watching~

That's a fair point. Jointed feet certainly break the immersion a bit. Though this might be the lesser of two devils because the stances were awful on TBLeague's female figure bodies that had seamless feet. The soles were too soft to support the figure, even if the female bodies were considerably lighter. Then again, Ryu's feet are a lot bigger so maybe the stance from seamless feet wouldn't be so easily compromised. I guess we might never know.

@@ElbearToys I can answer that exact thing. The solid feet were needed to hold the mass of the figure. Unfortunately seem less feet could not achieve that. We also wanted the ability to pose the feet like you show off in the video. The feet being secure and holding the figure was the most important out of all of the options we tried.

@@KeyboardWarriorsReviews Thank you for taking this one~ I went back to the Moon Goddess figure earlier this year just to be sure. She was built with a TBL S07C which had seamless feet. Not only could she not stand on her own at all, the feet also lack any posing options. It's really the same reason that separately sculpted hands were a necessity.

I just dug up my old M35 and the answer is slightly complicated. Sadly I don't know what happened to the hands and feet parts on the M35 but at a rough look, it seems a bit taller than Ryu. The pecs and shoulder are also bigger on the M35. However, the arms and legs are a bit noodle-y compared to Ryu. I feel that, given the context, the Ryu body is more proportional to who he is, as opposed to the M35 which looks too exaggerated for a supposed human body builder. Hope that helps~
