All these bike campers would be great in the flatter countries, but anywhere you had hills no electric bike is going to help you! I live in Cornwall, England and trust me we have a serious amount of hills EVERYWHERE. Flat areas, next none lol…

I would feel so vulnerable riding around with one of these on the back or sleeping remotely in one. Somehow a tent seems more sensible and less obvious, more practical.

The second motorcycle camper shown is made of water resistant canvas. As a former Boy Scout I wouldn't recommend it as canvas has to be retreated frequently after rain. I would suggest getting the optional brakes on the trailer. A slick road will put you down if the trailer is pushing you while trying to stop.

I designed one (12:35) in Fusion 360 for myself last year. His website was critical in that recreation effort. I built the base last summer. This summer I'll finish it for my late September camping. Too many bugs until then.

Fully agree. As a long time road bicyclist I would consider wind resistance, centre of gravity and weight as major design criteria. Very easy the trailer can become dangerous to the bicyclist …. Not easy to design a good solution.

One winter in Western MT, dozens of snowy owls appeared in the trees and stayed for days, eating the extra bounty of mice and voles that were there. They hunted, lounged, preened, and had a good time in the daylight.

Much better than a tent when it rains. Easier to set up, and better security. But not for windy places and hills, even with an electric bike. Interesting in the camping sites where you can hope to pick up your mini-house after shopping in town and your bike after night. Some are very funny, make me smile, and people who are watching can laugh.

A tent is not a solid structure. Most of these campers can hold your items and be easily moved with belongings inside if you need to leave quickly. A tent would have to be left behind.

I would worry about roads, such as the ones in Cumbria where I live. People drive like maniacs. The amount of cars I’ve seen this year with scrapes and dents. My Mom and I nearly had a head on collision the other week near bassenthwaite after a sports car overtook someone on a bend. We missed them by a cat’s whisker.

Interesting, but grab or make your own trailer, fasten and attach a tent to it and you still have what these guys have a mobile quarters to sleep in, but with a regular sized tent, more space…🤣. With any of these you don’t want to be in bear country, bears will tear these apart with little trouble, especially if they smell food in them, let alone other predators like wild cats, wolves, etc. The one I like the most is one which unfolds and makes more room than all the others, I think it’s called a wide path bike camper…🤔, but no matter where your at, the best invention of all time for humanity is still INDOOR PLUMBING…🤣. 👍❤️🙏🏼

It is more temp controlled,doesn’t always require as much assembly/disassembly as tents, plus some have some wild features! Like the z-triton one and the my pod 😮

@@Sunfl75 I’m guessing they don’t want to be eaten in their sleep. The bike campers offer a bit more safety than a tent. We use to do a lot of tent camping in our younger days and I never once thought about what lurks in the woods but when I did I know I’ll never ever sleep in a tent again.

Take a tent or a bivvy bag. And a leg-powered bicycle. Travel small, travel light.That is the key. Where on Earth and more importantly, why on Earth does a cyclist need a caravan? Or camper type thing? Where are you going to park when you need to visit a food shop or such like? Or charge your E-bike? Nice designs, but utterly impractical. The Peak District would prove this for anyone brave enough to attach a huge excressance to their bicycle. Love and peace.

But where? Where do I ride my bike/camper and park? Just pick a lawn or piss off a farmer? Most RV parks are off the highway or off the beaten path. Some Walmarts in the US will let you park a RV overnight. But now they close at 1 PM so it's you and an empty lot. If I'm within bicycle distance from my, I'm sleeping at home.

Honestly, if you plan on pulling any kind of trailer more than a couple if miles, then you should be warned to go as light and sturdy as possible. Some of these contraptions are ridiculous.

These people are not telling the truth. If the mother’s life is at stake then the mother with or without her husband have the right to a choice. The same with rape. We Texans don’t want our tax dollars to go to abortions in the cases where it is not necessary nor do we want late or after term abortions. Prevent the pregnancy and you don’t have to have an abortion query. Preventatives are readily available. Just do what it takes to make this not a problem in the first place. If you don’t want to start a family then don’t get pregnant in the first place. That is easy to prevent. Birth control is cheap and you don’t have to take an innocent life. Just have responsible sex if you are going to do it. Take control of your life and your body before you get unwanted pregnancy.
